Simpsons did it

It's a r/buttcoin mantra (in case you're unaware, buttcoin is a Reddit community centered around hating bitcoin and other cryptos... I actually think they make good points about crypto in general but I digress). They have observed that when bitcoin's price drops a lot of tether is minted. They attribute the printing of tether to an attempt to stabilize bitcoin's price with 'money printed out of thin air'.
Wish them luck. It's an open protocol so they can do whatever they want.
I see, thanks for answering my naïve questions, this is not my area of expertise but I'm learning. I'll check your book out, sounds interesting
I see. Thank you for the explanation. So according to the chart, the BOJ and ECB are currently contracting monetary supply at a greater rate than the fed, so those with access to relatively cheap capital in the US will be able to take advantage of the consequences of tightening in those other monetary regimes?
Well, you're right about that. Would you mind explaining the link between 1920s agricultural price controls and 2020s central bank balance sheets?
Yep exactly. We're all too willing as a society to give up our digital sovereignty and privacy for a shred of convenience. It's easier to use a stock OS than installing GrapheneOS. It's more convenient to use the app store than GitHub. Why pay for a good VPN when there's no obvious benefit over not using one? Linux has a learning curve vs iOS. I could go on and on.
The large corporations and governments that control the narratives most people are exposed to benefit from this lack of motivation to keep your data private. There will not be a push for digital sovereignty and privacy from the top. Fortunately the tools exist for those who understand the importance and care to make the effort.
It *can* exist, it just takes a level of work and dilligence that most aren't willing to keep up
It's a multiplayer game where most of the players are astronauts with a set of tasks to complete. Some players are assigned to be imposters, who look just like the astronauts but whose goal is to kill the other astronauts. The astronauts win by completing the goals or identifying and killing the imposters based on behavioral cues. The imposters win by killing the astronauts before they can complete the tasks. Incidentally it's the game that spawned the term 'sus', which suggested a player was suspicious that another player was an imposter
Legit for muscle tightness and for sleep. Magnesium absorbs best through the skin
Thanks for the quick response, looking forward to it being implemented. The wallet is great otherwise and I'll continue using it.
You guys need to set up a lightning address on nostr so we can zap you
I think about it in terms of politics mostly. We're held back from progressing as a society by the dinosaurs at the top of the political system who refuse to cede power and continue to cling to their way of doing things, for their own benefit at the cost of everyone else. People like Biden and McConnell. We won't be able to move forward until they and others like them die. Progress occurs one funeral at a time. I remind myself of that whenever I get frustrated with the out of touch ruling class making decisions with consequences they won't live to see.
Playing around with Mutiny wallet for zapping, does anyone know how to auto approve zaps? I don't want to have to manually approve all the zaps I send
If you're not making someone else's life better, then you're wasting your time.
Progress occurs one funeral at a time.
You should meditate for 15 minutes every day, unless you're too busy... in which case you should meditate for an hour every day.
It's also a put option on oppressive fiat monetary policy and sovereign debt bubbles.
Convince your loved ones to learn about it, and if they're unwilling consider buying some on their behalf 🤙
Best take on the film I've seen by far. Kudos. Now I want to go watch it again.
No, I didn't do the reading 😓
They think you're gaming the algorithms with all the zapping. That's the impression I got at least
Boom. My new book, Broken Money, is now available on Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CG83QBJ6
I will formally announce it later today, so I guess this is the initial Nostr exclusive. It’s not even searchable on Amazon yet since it is still being incorporated into their wider database. But if you have that link, it is ready for purchase.
The ebook, audiobook, and other print distribution partners will be rolled out over time.
Thank you everyone for your support! This has been a wonderful project to work on, and it will hopefully educate more people about the current problems in the global monetary system and the solutions that Bitcoin has to offer people around the world.
Awesome! Been looking forward to this one a lot since you first mentioned it on a podcast. Excited to get my hands on it!
Censorship is innevitably an option. And we the users have the option of rejecting that censorship. Such is the nature of open source protocols.
