The best thing about rainy season in HI is that it brings oodles of waterfalls over the Ko’olau range

I hit this momentous milestone in my truck today! I will drive everywhere at 69 mph to celebrate.

View from our backyard this morning…the Navy surveillance plane that went off the runway

Happy Thanksgiving Nostriches! Here is a throwback to one of my favorite Thanksgivings (2011) when we did a morning 5k and met these Kenyan marathoners and their coach. We invited them all to dinner and they enjoyed their first Thanksgiving. They brought a Kenyan dish called ugali which was cornmeal and water. This is also what they consumed during their marathons for energy rather than gels or goos.

It is a memory for which I will always be grateful 💓

I hope your day is filled with family, food, and great memories!

Meh. We don’t eat bbq every day and avoid seed oils in our foods so it’s worth the convenience.

Traegar

Hubby would say do it. He was a Big Green Egg guy for over 20 years and says the Traegar is far superior. He’d also tell you not to get the top of the line one. He originally bought the extra large Timberline with the burner and it had non stop issues so he returned it and got the 885. No problems so far and he uses it a couple of times a week.

Hubs says salt & pepper only a la Aaron Franklin

The brisket or the Traegar?

You can but it doesn’t turn out the same. It’s more bound together and creamier with the singles.

It’s lost about 20 miles of range in 7 years. Other than that no issues. We never supercharge it though which seems to impact the battery life.
