Modern prepping does often seem to be fear-based. There are things that overlap with age old ways of living, and that is what I've come to be more interested in. Historically people had a low time preference, had to prepare for winter, knew how to preserve foods, etc. This was all just a natural part of a household until about 5 minutes ago when we grew too accustomed to globalization, complex systems, and outsourcing responsibility.
Relationships and cultivating a strong community is the often overlooked essential ingredient in prepping.

Maybe I'm not aware of the right methodology but the fees are what trip me up. I don't knowhow to completely empty while leaving the exact right amount for the transaction fee.
How did you manage to empty the custodial wallets? Some others have said that isn't possible.
We do what we can. Similar list as yours.
Quality foods like salted/ cured meats, shelf stable items, fats, beans, lentels, etc. are far superior to the garbage 30 year survival bundles prepping websites like to sell. Returning to the ways people used to preserve and store food is fun just as much as it is prudent.
Life is more than survival so a robust library, decent board game collection, and other similar analog items are good to have too.
The title does not state that God created Nostr. Being humble enough to thank the Lord for anything doesnt rob the people that were involved in making it of their due recognition. It merely acknowledges that all the conditions of their lives, the world, and history were providentially brought to a place in which nostr could be made. It could just as easily never have been made. Thank God that it was.
Novice question: is it possible to completely empty a lightning wallet? Or is it inevitable that there will always be miniscule amounts of sats that remain?
