Yet it's not really one administration or another...it's all of our government. Our system is corrupt and broken, and there is no one in government that isn't somehow involved (after all, no one will stand up and say "this is wrong" on either side).

Believing (hoping?) this can change by voting falls under that "if you do the same thing expecting a different result..."

Here is the finished product of my beef tallow making from yesterday. The liquid form right after straining, and the solid form after cooling. 2 quart jars and 1 pint jar. I am pleased with the results, and after watching multiple yt videos, i decided to try the method that looked like it would be the easiest. So i just put the fat into a pot with a lid, then put it into the oven on low heat. Took longer than i thought it would, but that was not a problem. #foodstr #grownostr #beeftallow

What are you planning to do with it? (Would love to be schooled...) We used ours to make suet for the neighborhood birds, but it's got to have more uses than that...

Crowdfunding is a band-aid fix and is not sustainable. It's probably fine for the first year or two, but not much longer than that. It needs an actual funding model in the future. Build the tech. Survive on funding/donations. When the tech is ready and able, get a million users. If 1% pay for premium subscription services then you're set.

There's precedent out there - Canonical. They've created a buisness model for a Linux distro that works...how? Provide a great product, make it free for end users, provide additional features / support tailored to businesses, and charge those users for that upscaled support and product.

Thinking something similar to Damus (and Nostr in general) might work?

Think "Nostr for my business / comnpany" - maybe internal corporate relays for internal communications--scale it for business, but (since it's free) users already are familiar with it...

Have to think a "private" Nostr might have legs...add in business NostrNests, or private Flare videos - and I'd think businesses might want to pay for that?

Great product but for the person that will using it they just need to be able to keep track of master keys inside the app without backing anything up to the cloud. I doubt they'll spend even $5 for this use case.

I think it'll depend on whether you fully trust an app--that's the benefit of hardware 2FA...but to each his own. For many (most?) convenience is more important than security.

While not 100% open source, I'm a big fan of YubiKey--if you're going to do 2FA, then there is no better solution IMHO.

I suspect you're right--and I suspect we may instead have a significant correction (and a liquidation of many leveraged long positions).

Too many significant $1M+ predictions, and that kind of thing frequently is a warning sign...everyone looking for a "quick win" may be surprised here.

I can see a correction down to $33,500 in the cards, with many poeple getting rekt if they're using leverage, and other "traders" will panic and jump ship, affording inexpensive BTC for Blackrock and others.

HODLers will be ok...long term the ETFs will raise the price of BTC significantly, but folks will need to ride out the dip (and/or have the hutzpah to buy the dip) in order to profit.

Sorry - should have been clearer...

Rather than looking for a Mac antivirus, if all you need is Photoshop / Video editing, then use the Mac for that (i.e. disconnect from the internet).

And then use USB linux for all other (i.e. risky) activities...simply isolate the Mac as a standalone workstation and use Linux for everything else.
