Audiences hate when you mix topics. Folks that like me because I talk about Nostr wouldn't like me talking about the Red Sox in the same feed. One account just doesn't make any sense.

Sure...why not? I'm more interested in the person.

The person is the content, not the other way around.

We all have interests, and those outside interests are what make relationships deeper.

Having two accounts seems counterproductive...

Over the weekend I bought a brand new cordless hammer drill, bolt cutters, and lineman cutters.

Was able to pick up a DeWalt SDS a while back. On sale (tool only) they're about $115 currently...keep an eye on slickdeals...they'll come up occasionally.

I'd heard maybe 5 years ago China was working on decentralized health care records...not sure it ever got off the ground (but they didn't have Nostr then...)

This could solve a lot of problems in health care....

Interesting...but given that "notes" (and other stuff) all goes through relays, how would Nostr keep those records private?

(I can see being able to validate the owner of a note, but not sure I'm connecting the dots on privacy...?)

People who volunteer their time on Nostr aren't all gullible or suffering from some sort of savior complex. (Okay, maybe we're slightly prone to martyrdom, but nobody's perfect.)

The fact is, this is cutting-edge technology and a fast-moving communications environment, so the stuff you learn here can transfer to your "day job" (or result in your getting a new job!), even if that job has nothing directly to do with Nostr. You also hold the keys 😉, to introduce something Nostr-y into your workplace, and then you become their in-house #NostrGuru. You can even make real-life connections, with other Nostriches, that can be turned into business connections. Or, you could eventually turn your volunteer position into a side-gig, to stack sats with effort, rather than by selling fiat.

If this is the Internet 2.0, then ask yourself:
