Definitely the worst consumer electronic in existence right now is the "smart TV". It sucks. It's a low quality spying device, and the worst part is, YOU CAN'T EVEN BUY A NON-SMART TV ANYMORE!

I don't mean to say that spreading someone else's ideas is necessarily a bad thing. Only that it can easily become religious or tribal once people start deifying influencers (like Saylor) or participating in the latest drama. People can do whatever they want. I'm just bored with it and don't think it deserves my energy.

Bitcoin is the best money I've found and I just want it to be that. I don't need it to be my religion or sole focus in life. The whole point for me was to free up my mind to focus on important things, and Bitcoin X isn't it. Unfortunately, I can't escape it even here. 😁

I think that’s what he was saying, I don’t want to speak for him. The way I read it was that small accounts will fare better monetizing on nostr, because large accounts on other platforms earn revenue from referrals, sponsorships, ads, etc. But it’s possible I read too much into it.

Nostr + Bitcoin gives small, independent artists (i.e., most artists) back control of their voice and audience online. It is not the super famous mainstream artists who will flock to nostr, at least initially. They enjoy the benefits of the large, algorithmic, ad-driven platforms. It is the small artists, who cannot feasibly compete for attention on those platforms, who need nostr and bitcoin, and will continue turning to it as they see how transformative it is in connecting with their audience and monetizing their content.
