wtf is a dApp?
why do they happen?
looks like this bitcoin thing is going places
bitcoin cost money to use
in return you get a perfectly finite supply asset, while population and productivity keeps growing - something that the economic world have no concept of
the deal is fair if you ask me
is it just a back pack or can you attach weights to the limbs also?
another thing for the list of future stuff 😁
you need to understand something fundamental: LN wasn't created to save 1 sat/byte fees. using bitcoin is expensive and a ratio of it translates to the cost of using LN
transacting free on chain was a honeymoon period that will never come back
liquidity management and pricing are far from being optimized for lowest cost
they took care of a seamless experience at first
does it matter where you walk?
what service are you using?
some people still try to sell the illusion that some real world assets are not liquid enough because they're not tokenized on a bLoCKcHaiN
damn, who's working on this?
no more closed gardens
the wild thing about responsibly saving for a house during the decade of ZIRP, while asset owners leveraged existing assets for the 2nd and 3rd, is that your behaviour helped suppress CPI inflation and let assets skyrocket as much as possible without any "economic" damage
exactly what I'm suggesting. the time value of the channel is the real service. you're paying for the option to work around needing blockspace. more capacity is more flexibility
the solution to the inbound capacity problem is simply to PAY for inbound capacity. off-chain mechanisms translate the cost of blockspace into the cost of provisioned capital. if you wanna save on L1 fees you'll have to pay for the workaround that lets you do that
this makes perfect sense for a strictly finite supply currency - you have to pay to have it served to you. if it's not credit, why would anybody else subsidise it for you?
because the money is finite, therefore each unit slowly gains more purchasing power, it makes sense to dedicate a percentage of it for the service - eventually the money pays for itself
no LSP frontend that I know of today (Phoenix, mutiny, breez, Zeus, etc...) is charging beyond setup fee, and so you cannot pay for a specific incoming capacity in advance, and it depends mostly on your first txn (which is weird as well) but I guess they all aim at the simplest ux at first
eventually future bitcoin users will understand that real bitcoin comes with a cost. the cost to transact on chain, and the cost to have the capacity to batch off-chain. freedom is not free

I hear through the grapevine that there's some kinda problem with boats and bitcoin or something 🤷♂️ Well I'm here to help! 😉
You guys have been awesome and I've only been here 1 day now. I've got a fairly big lnstagram presence. It's really hard to monetise though, so your Zaps took me kinda off guard.
I'm now wondering if there's any chance I could grow here and possibly be able to do what I've wanted for years and thats to convert this social media gig into a viable profession, whereby I can dedicate all my time and energy into producing awesome content promoting boating safety and thereby increased liklihood of key retention😉.
boating safety is no joke. send this guy a hug
