I think so man π€β‘
Not that I've found yet. You can create public channels but few have the client capability to join them & when they do, everybody will be able to join (they're not encrypted).
The only way i could see it working at the moment is via a private relays (would be interesting to play around with).
It's only a matter of time before private channels are created though.
Not sure where your zap went unless it was the 50 sat anon zap that came in at about the same time (a little bit later than when you said done though).
Download handbrake from fosshub.com (on a pc).
Drop the video file in & select the lowest quality YouTube preset & then check the settings. Save your customized settings for your next video.
I'd optimize for sound quality over pixels - you should be able to really get that size down.
Think of it as a deposit on a Brisket buzz cut in the Hibernian beer garden
Zap me & I'll let you know π
I think we need to figure out a better way to host videos for Nostr than YouTube.
I love the concept & the video brother. It's so much better live around a campfire though!

I guess the real cost would eventually be your reputation.
Not really an issue if you're creating burner nostr accounts to scam newbies.
Something to think about as this evolves.
I don't know.
If you're interested in gaming zaps for attention, the only cost is the LN transaction fees & any costs associated with setting up & running the bots.
The zaps would all end up in your wallet & could be recycled with little cost.
I feel like I downloaded it about a year ago & never got past the first screen.

Another bitcoin bull run.
Bitcoin is really the only way you can invest in Nostr right now.
Even if Nostr doesn't attract investors & speculators. As each user joins nostr onchain sats are moved onto the lightning network & the circular economy grows.
I would probably call it an epic fail rather than a catastrophy.
I thought it had potential at the time but with Nostr & hindsight it's more clear why it was doomed.
Nostr is 10x better than sphinxchat.
It might just catch on.
