Just one extra step. A "notes/edits from the author" section on a note would be added to the note as a comment with certain formatting, and the client will either display as a regular comment, add to the note displayed in its own area, or evaluate the revision as a find-replace or regex with the option to display the original.

:confused Jackie Chan meme:

What does this have to do with equality and women's issues?

You know this will open the door to the money home, right? 🤣 I think a word revision/ addition/removal wouldn't be a bad thing. I thought a regex based system could be fun, but a simple find-replace would be fine.

Is it actually? Why?

Beneficial or no, it's what Christ established. I tend to trust His direction, but I don't need to approve of each thing He does, just follow. Good popes and bad popes come and go, but His Church is eternal.

Faith, hopium 🤣, and charity, the theological virtues

This is the reason we need a decentralized market solution for our food. We need to make the regulatory bodies obsolete. Big food has the FDA bought and paid for.

I have a friend, Dan, who is studying for meat inspection; we spoke a couple weeks ago and were speaking on this subject.

Neighbors ought to be able to do business with each other without national level oversight, and the big gov't bureaucracy is killing competition with big food

I've fantasized about a pontiff someday condemning fiat currency, citing Nicole Oresme and his treatise on money.

This depends on where I the cycle it happens. Obviously, if the halving is just weeks away, your dollar value is going to boom, and your expenses would become yet a lower percent of the stack, but if the halving just happened a month or two ago you'll eat through 30-40% by the next halving.

That's cool 👍If I was a rich man, I would found a nearby orange city. For now, I offer a discount on my services if someone pays in bitcoin.

Sorry, I don't know Portuguese, but hopefully the translator works well enough.

We must be able to acquire all our necessities before communities be fully orange. This means energy, food, and housing most of all, but also medical services/products, clothing, and several other professional services like law and engineering.

I cannot survive more than just a couple days without lipids and hydrogen monoxide, I am ashamed to say 😮‍💨

Being exceptional in the modern culture is in large part conforming to a narrowly perceived visual ideal, and it says nothing about an internal ideal. In fact, it may, but only that one is internally opposed to the former ideal (ie: rejection of the virtues).

On the reputation calculation front, opinions and ratings for a community's member must be aggregated by the protocol from other reputable members' ratings, whose reputations also must be calculated. Chickens and eggs.

Consistency with others' opinions may be seen as a marker of conformity to a group, and a new datum from that member may be treated as extrapolated from the conformed group. An analyzed group's internal variability should also inversely influence the weight of an extrapolated opinion.

These are definitely not necessary for a simple "what are my following listing today?" Marketplace, but would instead be incredibly useful for wide markets.

I've wanted to build a decentralized market app/platform for a long while now. Reputation management/calculation and discovery are the biggest hurdles.

My initial desire was to build it for local food producers, like farmers, butchers, canners, etc. Neighbors would rate each other's processes/quality and certify/endorse health standards. As a result, a small community would accomplish for itself what centralized system takes forever to do. It also corrects the incentive structure in that a business becomes responsible to their neighbors and not the state.
