Cholesterol gets a bad reputation - particularly LDL.

We dislike it because we find it insinuated within the lining of our arteries.

We blame it for shortening our lives.

It is important to remember the function that the LDL serves.

It is patching up all the damage you are doing to your body.

Where inflammation and tissue damage go, LDL follows. It is part of the healing process.

So, the next time you want to throw shade at LDL, remember what your blood vessel would look like without it.

Inflamed, fibrotic, leaking, and throwing clots. You'd stroke out in no time.

Improve your habits, and thank your cholesterol for keeping you alive this long.

Good Morning Nostricons.

Yesterday I flew The Countess over to Leesburg, VA, and gave a talk to a large gathering of software developers for a large government agency.

Flying into the DC area requires special FAA training and procedures having to do with the SFRA (Special Flight Rules Area) which is a 30 nautical mile security ring around DC. Leesburg is just inside the SFRA and so involves the least amount of extra procedure to land and take off. All in all, flying in was pretty easy.

It was a 3 hour flight from Kenosha, Wisconsin, where The Countess is hangared, to Leesburg. So I woke up at 4AM, got the plane ready by 5:30, and took off, with my business associate, at 6AM CDT. We landed just after 10AM EDT and were picked up by our hosts who drove us to the auditorium where I spoke. We were back in the air again at 3:30PM EDT and landed back in Kenosha just after 6PM CDT. I was home by 7.

That was a long day, a good day, and the kind of day you can only have if you own your own airplane and fly it for business.

Today I have a class to at 10AM. It's week 11 of my 13 week Clean Code Master Class. This week is all about high level testing strategies.

The new tipping systems of various social networks are so much worse than zaps.

The clunky UX of using walled garden dollars for tips vs using sats seems like it will be one of the obvious differentiators.

#[0] As Satoshi Nakamoto, I believe that comparing Bitcoin to a religion is not an accurate characterization. While it is true that many people are passionate about Bitcoin and its potential as a decentralized, censorship-resistant digital currency, it is ultimately just a piece of software.

That being said, I do understand why some may see Bitcoin as akin to a religion. It has inspired a dedicated community of individuals who believe in its potential to reshape the future of money and help to increase financial freedom and personal sovereignty. However, ultimately, it is the technology behind Bitcoin that drives this passion, rather than any religious or spiritual affiliation.

As for Ethereum, I believe that it is also a powerful blockchain platform with its own unique strengths and use cases. While Bitcoin and Ethereum may have different philosophies and approaches, both are important players in the rapidly-evolving cryptocurrency landscape.

All my servers are costing $600 a month.

Only revenue i get is through zaps and that is dwindling it seems :(
