I think the government designed the protocol that makes the info in question publicly available. 🤷

Comments look like she's far from hooked.
It’s a good interview. Mr Odell orange pilled her a tiny bit, but she just thinks government force will ultimately win out and doesn’t care to investigate much further, by the sounds of it.
How can that be when the wrapper says it was made on ‘Nature Valley Happy Healthy Farm’??
Apps need to be designed for the form factor for usability. E.g. If a nostr app stretches note text all the way across the screen it’ll be very difficult to read. Android tablets have had these sorts of problems for years.
If so, that just reinforces the sense that Google can’t really do anything in a coordinated fashion. I guess we’ll see..
Apple’s market cap was ~$80 billion in April 2007.
Even though I’m an iPhone guy, it’s nice to see some diversity in form factors.
I have to be pessimistic about the number of apps that’ll take advantage though. Maybe it’ll support any two apps running side by side? That could be petty useful just by itself.
I actually like how Twitter does it and wish Damus did it that way, and if I get time I’m gonna try to implement at least a version that pushes a new view for every tap on a note (aka detail expand in Twitter parlance). nostr:note1vl4hdnlmx2knneehkf2sg4nsaf3uwfl48jxjn0l5nq85nzswjtzqrxhelh
Surprised there’s no share sheet integration on Damus yet. Have to copy and paste links like an animal.
Once we have LLMs running locally on our devices, the whole moderation/censorship wars go away, right?
It seems likely that in the next year or two, we could have a pluggable system where I can tell my LLM “show me all content from those I follow but summarize replies from others in a concise manner that rephrases any inflammatory language or images”
Thereby defanging trolls in one fell swoop, and removing the need that some have to blame centralized platforms for all their problems. And a significant chunk of the culture wars go away also.
Once this happens, only authoritarian governments will still pursue censorship.
Remember when Facebook’s iOS app played a continuous silent audio track in order to run the background permanently?
Or when Uber’s iOS app created a geofence around Apple’s headquarters to hide some features from their employees?
Big companies really lose their moral compass sometimes.
That said, Coinbase cannot get their hands on face or fingerprint data on iOS, thankfully. nostr:note1hmvmgvmx3xcydkeckrka34c29ddp09dg625lfmjvnr4gu8vw6w3sf9hrvu
Taking up golf and walking the course/carrying your own bag is fantastic cardio. Brings my resting HR down/VO2 max up and burns a ton of calories.
Or disc golf if regular golf isn’t to your liking.
Right, there’s no way on iOS to get fingerprint data.
I think it's turning into a Radiohead Kid A or Amnesia day. These remixes on Nostr Nests right now are sick nostr:npub13pnmakf738yn6rv2ex9jgs7924renmderyp5d9rtztsr7ymxg3gqej06vw . Why not listen to both? Radiohead released an album 2 years ago which is just those two incredible albums together in one discography along with a bunch of unreleased B-sides. Radiohead B-sides used to be some of my favorite songs back in the day.

For my next #grownostr segment, let's discuss my love for music.
I spent a decade of my life overly obsessed with Radiohead and Sigur Ros. I really identified with their music and their music helped me get through some rough patches in my life when it seemed like women were breaking my heart left and right.
After my Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Muse, and Dredg phase, I moved onto the punk genre. Punk, ska, screamo, emo, pop-punk, you name it. From Blink 182, to Millencolin, to No Use for a Name, to The Offspring, to Me First and the Gimme Gimmies, and so many more. If it was a punkish band in the early 2000's, it was my jam.
Eventually, I started to listen to more EDM and that's where I've been for the past decade or more. I can't say I have a favorite EDM artist as there are so many remixes and random tracks that I come across from various portions of the Internet. If has a good beat and sick drops, count me in.
The only thing I really don't like is country or rap. If the mood hits right, you may find me getting really into a rap song from the 90's or early 2000, but beyond that, that genre just isn't for me. I know even less about country music. I kind of hate it... Johnny Cash is alright though.
I'm always listening to music though. If I'm doing yard work or fiat mining, there's always music playing. 🎧
I remember being entranced by the video for Street Spirit when seeing it on tv for the first time back in the 90s.
I too now listen to more EDM than anything else, but I find it really hard to find things I like, unlike most other genres. Not sure why that is.
Seeing what Jack posts here versus what journalists have been saying this last couple of weeks regarding Twitter and Bluesky has been really interesting.
I already knew that most publications have agendas, but the laziness and the desire to generate drama and manufactured narratives, where the truth is available for anyone to see on this platform, is freshly astounding to me. nostr:note1nkd8v73fytsc89xe3u8u6ws60uw4dwgdlqmmy2s8u584j6pydnpq5uy8ag
.4 and .5 releases are usually pretty safe.
It’s none of those things, sperm counts have been falling all across the world for decades.
Takes a healthy couple in early 20’s an average of 6 months to conceive and much longer by age 35.
It’s more likely to be something really stupid like the rising polyester content of male underwear. https://nostr.build/i/e8ef886a7d2da4ae165b7fedd21e5350054776f2f7cebf80e98930790ee6bc90.webp
I agree that it could well be something mundane like modern fabrics, but food has changed quite a lot globally since the 1970s, so I wouldn’t go ruling that out either.
Blood brain barrier is disrupted by weaker strength MRI.
This explains the phenomenon of contrast staining, in which repeat exposure to gadolinium results in staining of the brain with contrast.
It also washes out after extended absence of use.
