Struggling to find solo cardio that is entertaining.
I prefer racquet sports, but they require scheduling with a partner.
I wish VR was an option, but my sweat tends to fog up the lens.
Wat do?

Skipping rope with concentration on rhythm and trick transitions
I find crossfit workouts to be fun enough to be done alone sometimes
listening to a good podcast while doing cardio on the elliptical is good enuf for me.
I agree, even if the workout itself is boring a good podcast or audiobook can make it much more tolerable!
Taking up golf and walking the course/carrying your own bag is fantastic cardio. Brings my resting HR down/VO2 max up and burns a ton of calories.
Or disc golf if regular golf isn’t to your liking.
Double kettlebell work requires so much focus on the movement it distracts from the cardio suffering.
I’ve really enjoyed the daily workouts from Brute Force Training alone or with a friend
Podcast plus being outside tends to be enough for me. I cant do stationary cardio without getting bored.
It's called a bicycle.
Bicycling? Relying on other people is very frustrating.
You could do a dance game like DDR lol
Basketball
My mannn making me wanna bball, stop itttt
Kettlebell swings?
Record your best time on an obstacle course. Then race yourself.
Shoot some hoops?
I find cardio fun if I'm learning tricks so I do pole dancing. Maybe an equivalent is jump rope or another type of dancing? I also take my dog on walks daily and do short sprints. Dog fren?
Dance. Dance. Revolution.
Golf. But you have to jog the whole time. Like polo but without a horse.
Holodeck
Ergometer (rowing machine) is the best bag for your buck in terms of full body workout. Plus the monitor makes it easy to track progress and improvement on pieces. But tradeoff is that it sucks. Big mental barrier but also most rewarding after you wrap up a workout IMO.
Calvinball. You just need a stuffed tiger that you imagine is real and is your friend.
I used to run until my knee informed me that was no longer an option. I practiced aikido until COVID, when that became impossible due to the partner problem. Now I cycle, swim, and skateboard. I def want to get back into aikido when my kids grow up a bit more.
Exercise machines are a shitcoin. If it's boring or torturous you will find excuses to avoid exercise and your health and mental state will suffer. You gotta find stuff that is fun. Personally, I love to combine exercise with learning a skill. I've always had a tendency to favor solo outdoor activities and that trend has continued as demands on my time grow year over year.
Oh, also long walks. Like 5 miles in a hilly place to get some proper cardio.
Same. Join a tennis club? More partners, plus classes etc
Stand up paddleboard
Cycling is fantastic. Easier on the knees then running and you can integrate into daily life by commuting or do HIIT if it suits you.
Getting out in the sun in the morning and a breeze is a great start to any day.
Don’t know if you’re into it but I find basketball to be the most entertaining and easiest cardio sport to partake in. Most of the time you can just show up to a court and people will be there. If not just shooting by yourself can expend a decent amount of calories.
Cross Country biking with great tunes in the buds!
Hiking is my favorite, but not an option for everyone.
Tennis ball machine
Vanderbilt Tennis Club in grand central station has a good setup
Get zwift and start spinning. I find the measured feedback of watts, cadence, etc extremely helpful
Brisk walking or hiking is enough, then add some weight to a rucksack
Mountain Biking if you have a quick access to trails. There is no second best.
Get yourself one of 'em light bopping thingies. Stick to walls, put on floors, whatever, leap around like a loon sweating buckets and using your whole body range of motion e.g. https://www.fitlighttraining.com/pages/how-it-works (No idea if these are the best ones, I literally just googled some keywords so I could show you what I meant)
