My point is the receiver won't see the DM at all if they don't have a common relay so it doesn't help to embed the relay address within the DM.

What if the note you are sharing is from a relay that is not common with the sender?

I'm curious, is it really necessary to include the relay in that DM text? I mean if the recipient isn't sharing a common relay they won't receive the DM to begin with.

I was surprised when I pasted a note ID in a Nostr DM to a Damus user they were unable to open it. Is that the sending client's fault or the receiving Damus?

Ultimately there needs to be a Sybil resistant algo in place.

Yesterday i witnessed someone accidentally share his nsec. It wasn’t the first time i saw this. 😔

It kept me busy because this can destroy all the reputation you built up in one single moment. 💥

And almost always it is because the nsec is still in the clipboard and you paste it accidentally. 📋

Fortunately in damus there will be a warning when you try to share an nsec. ⚠️

But to make it a little more less likely to share it by mistake, i have splitten up my nsec in 3 parts in the location i stored it. So i will never have the whole nsec in my clipboard. ✂️

Maybe consider doing this too to make it a little safer. 🔐

I think he means: integrate with iOS’ password manager. Treat the nostr public key as the username and private key as password ⇒ tada!

In practice Iris requesting deletion a few times over a day or two eventually purges my accidental note enough that it no longer appears in my Amethyst client. Yes it sucks that it can't reliably work on the first try but it does eventually work. It doesn't work on the first try because your connectivity to relays is not reliable.

"Request Deletion" is the honest way to name it.

The nostr pubkey of the user of the target note is in the nostr= part of the lnurl call and also needs to be setup on your stacker account? So it can be verified, no?
