As part of the new approach, medics have been reminded that for âmostâ young people, the feeling of being in the wrong body is just a âphaseâ and does not persist into adulthood.
Officials have now set out their plan for how children will be able to access the service, which has been sent to experts for their input. The plans have been seen by The Telegraph.
The plans state: âChildren under seven years of age may not be expected to have sufficiently developed their intellectual understanding of, and comprehension of, sex and gender to be able to understand the reasons for, and potential consequences of, a referral to a specialist gender incongruence service.â
Iâm with Stephanie:
Stephanie Davies-Arai, founder of Transgender Trend, said there were still questions about the age at which the children would be allowed onto the trial. She said the âdevil is in the detailâ.
It seems like no one in the government is really trying to stop any of this. Labour gets a lot of criticism on here, but in my humble American opinion, Conservatives deserve a good bit of criticism, as well.
Doc Martens is advertising a new shoe that celebrates females who mutilate their own bodies.
Dr Martensâ âqueer joyâ boot features trans person with âmastectomy scarsâ

"Rainbow-coloured footwear sparks backlash with some accusing shoe brand of promoting âgrotesqueâ ideology"
"Dr Martens has produced a giveaway âqueer joyâ boot appearing to feature a trans person with apparent mastectomy scars, it has emerged.
The shoe brand advertised the rainbow-coloured pair of the 1460 boot on its US Instagram account last week, inviting followers to enter a prize draw to win them for free.
They have been designed by Jess Vosseteig, a self-described queer illustrator based in Colorado, who said she wanted to ârepresent queer joyâ with a spin on the original boot worn by many in the 1970s.
But it has sparked a backlash, with some accusing the brand of promoting âgrotesqueâ ideology."

Itâs always going to be a commercial thing because it is a for-profit movement. âTransâ opens up new marketing opportunities, and the same firms that invest in pharma invest in all kinds of other things, including Doc Martens. They want their other investments to support their pharma interests, as well.

I just checked out some of her music, and I donât really like it, but I think youâre probably supposed to be on drugs when you listen.
This should be good - the only thing that Canadian Muslims have to protest about! https://www.rebelnews.com/canadian_muslims_pledge_million_person_march_to_protest_lgbtq_indoctrination_in_schools
Wow, I know Muslims are coming from a perspective different from my own, but they are right that schools have no place teaching Muslim kids controversial or inaccurate information about Islam.
It felt like there were a few years when schools understood that their place was to be neutral and stay out of religious and highly personal matters. I guess something happened to change that.
We will have to see! All I know is that she was once in a relationship with Elon Musk. I assume she has some other claim to fame, as well.
Wow, thatâs interesting. Is it just enforced in that direction, like Islam â> Hindu would be okay, but not Hindu â> Islam?
Louise Perry along with three more women! Downtown Los Angeles, September 13, 7:00 PM, tickets starting at $65.
Iâll probably try to catch some of this online.

This is tomorrow. Iâm not going, but Iâm always interested in knowing whatâs happening at libraries.
The majority of Americans who are willing to show up to counter the whole DQSH thing are religious. Good for them, I guess.
Wow, an imitation of an imitation! I believe it. Drag queens have been trying to teach us to be âbetter womenâ for a long time now.
Agreed!
Sometimes, my woke-dar is wrong. I actually go by tone of voice (wealthy or working class? vocal fry or no vocal fry?) more than anything else, though even then, I can be wrong.
Right. I donât think many people have a positive impression of missionaries; I certainly donât. This couple (Mr. and Mrs. Singh) seem to be Indian, though, and the law cited is from 2021.
Most of the problems of missionaries (especially any sexual abuse) could probably be addressed by narrower laws that apply evenly to everyone. Then, we would be down to the act of persuading people to change religions at all, and especially bribing poor people to change religions by offering meals and other rewards. I suppose I can see how itâs a sad thing, if people think their old religion is better but are just so hungry. On the other hand, if a country is letting people go hungry at all, it probably should have no say in whether people are allowed to sell their souls for a hot meal.
Regarding the young preacher, the plot thickens!
Regardless of whether he was breaking the law by not having an amplification device permit, it may be that the drag performances in front of children also violated state law and a local ordinance.
[U]nder Wisconsin law, police have the authority to arrest any adult who causes a child to âview or listen to sexually explicit conduct.â
A Watertown ordinance also prohibits âsexually oriented conductâ with children, but itâs unclear whether the pride event violated that or any other local ordinance.
It doesnât sound like these laws are often enforced, and I also donât know for sure if the drag performances were lewd enough to meet the standards of the state law or local ordinance.

Oh, Quentin Crisp! He was such a wit. A friend of mine got his phone number and called him just to chat a few years before he died, and he was friendly and polite.
I wonder what heâd think of all this.
About the young women with colorful hair, nose rings, and vocal fry, I didnât necessarily mean it because theyâre gender non-conforming; itâs just because they look like trend followers. However, I suppose itâs largely one in the same thing.
Thatâs a good point about women of our older generations having long been gender non-conforming. I would have been wearing the same badges you were. However, even my conservative Christian grandmother had short hair and wore slacks! It was once completely normal. It took Millennials and Gen Z to suddenly think that âwomanâ = lipstick + high heels.
This is not relevant to anything we normally talk about here, but the fact that this happens in Indiaâs largest state (and eleven more besides) was news to me.
Under Uttar Pradeshâs Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religion Act, 2021, âno person shall convert or attempt to convertâ another individual, directly, or otherwise, by âmisrepresentation, force, undue influence, coercion, allurement or by any fraudulent means.â
I would agree with the part about force or coercion, but âmisrepresentationâ (given that I donât believe any religion accurately represents reality) and âundue influenceâ seem very vague.
The part about putting young children in prison with their mothers may be well intended, though if another family member is available and the mother prefers the child be be placed with him or her, I would hope that this could be arranged.

Ukraine military has a new transgender spokesperson

A Trans Identified Male calling himself "Sarah Ashton-Cirillo"
"The Kyiv Post on Thursday tweeted that Sarah Ashton-Cirillo "has become one of the speakers for the Defense Forces," and his work for Ukraine was soon praised in statements from Ukraine's Ministry of Defense and Hanna Mailar, a Ukrainian deputy minister of defense.
"Having been in Ukraine for almost 520 days, in a variety of both civilian and military capacities, more than anything I've come to appreciate the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people," Ashton-Cirillo told Newsweek in an email.
"Over the last month, as my role has evolved from a zero line infantry soldier to one of the public voices of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, I've become ever more grateful for that strength," he said."

How can this be real?? How much of a parody of themselves do these people intend to become?
Very good point. I donât care, either. However, the combination of big corporation + the type of person who usually promotes trans ideology (which this guy looks like to me) does set off alarm bells in my mind. Itâs sort of like if there is a young woman with colorful hair, a nose ring, and vocal fry, I think, âHere we go.â
I wonder if theyâre trying to trick us into being irritated by small things so they can make fun of us for being sensitive.
nostr:npub1n4kc4re0enczkhnfslv8vtvqw0e68t3wfka74s0yef38j3h6ys8s40x2dq this asshole here had to slip in how it's bad for the government to help people. People should have to rely on local charity and that will build community? What a dick:
As the Washington Examiner editorial on the bill concluded, âCentralization of power, attention, and action is a chief cause of social disconnection. The New Deal and Great Society centralized our safety net. Stripping localities, churches, and nonprofit organizations of their role in serving their communities detached people from their neighbors.â
Without this idiot chiming in it still sounds like bullshit.
Yes, that really should be a separate question. To me, the question is whether the federal government taking my money and giving it to the CDC so that it can concoct ideas to make me less lonely. The answer to that is that I most definitely do not.
Marcus Schroeder was subsequently charged with âunlawful use of sound amplification and resisting arrest.â
He was using a microphone.
Any American feminists have similar experiences of police rushing to arrest counter-demonstrators who were using âsound amplificationâ to drown out our events?
Or did the police just stand by while anti-feminist demonstrators attempted to deafen feminist speakers with devices much louder than a microphone?
Agreed, and preferably, find out long before the engagement whether this is the sort of thing he would do. I know itâs hard to find a good man, but being with a bad one really is worse than being alone.
