I'm presenting at math conference next Saturday on what I've learned about math teaching over the last decade+. I don't present much anymore but this is one of my favorite conferences.

I agree. I go in there to check a few specific accounts and then I’m out. I can’t imagine users are growing on that platform.

I think some of that can/will course correct quickly. Universities, however, I don’t think will. I think that, for lack of a better term, woke ideology is just too ingrained for most of them to recover. I think many students want the coddling/safetyism and I think that the quick and easy access to power that wokeness gives people is very powerful. But I hope I’m wrong. I know there are people put working hard to undo it.

Thanks! I’m probably the healthiest I’ve ever been in terms of physically fitness and diet. I’ve been taking 6000 IU vitamin D for the last month and 4000 before that back to probably October. Although, I am going to get my levels checked because I have been low in the past. I thought I was physically prepared for this crap. Lol.

I probably won’t get the shot because they’re not terribly effective anyway, I suspect now I’ll have some lingering general purpose immunity for at least a year, and they seem to get less effective the more you take them. And after the Covid vaccines I don’t even know what “effective” means anymore.

Me: Well I hate paying more for stuff year over year and sometimes month over month so maybe just STFU and stop telling me I will pay more and be happy – for “the economy”.

Man, I might get the flu shot next year. Or the year after (does the immunity from this year carry on into next year possibly? 🤔). I haven't gotten one the last few years. Not really out of any prinicpled decision. Just kind of like "do I really need that thing" and "how honest were you guys really about the covid shot" and I never went to the doctor in the fall where they would be like "hey do you want this thing?"

But my wife and I have the flu right now and we are 5-6 days of being varying degrees of miserable. Fevers, chills, aches, congestion, and now coughs. Each day waking up thinking it will turn and it's still there. Finally today we don't have fevers, which is an improvement. But all the other stuff is still strong. Ugh.

Would the flu shot have helped this year? I don't know. It would've been cool if one of us had gotten it and the other hadn't so we could compare. But that's not really an experiment to set out to run.

Anyway. I'm gonna take some Sudafed and try to write some lesson plans before my son wakes up. Have a great weekend friends. And don't come in contact with me. lol
