If I want to be charitable, I think it is a gross overreaction to the problem of a small subset of people who use their password manager to also generate their 2FA codes. In that one subset your password manager actually could be a single point of failure. But for everyone else who does not do that, they are being blocked for no reason.

Totally agree and thank god for those because it isn’t having an immediate effect besides being insanely annoying.

Day 13 of being blocked out of my fiat account: after multiple calls, being told many obvious lies they finally admit they are just blocking password managers. Not only blocking the use of a password manager, even blocking you if your browser just has a password manager extension installed even if you don’t actually use it. They have no fix, no workaround, and no suggestions or timeline. Bitcoin is still working.
