All views are my own. Tech finance manager, Bitcoin believer.

Every publicly traded BTC miner is a zero or negative value operating business from what I can tell after reading through their financial statements. They do not throw off profits (“adjusted” EBITDA doesn’t count) or cash and are usually highly leveraged. Maybe they get lucky on a big Bitcoin bullrun, but they just aren’t profitable businesses.

The problem there is it’s essentially EOL and receiving few if any updates. Which is a big security and UX issue. The company is focused on their SDK and has publicly acknowledged they don’t know what they’ll do with the app and may sunset it altogether. Love Roy and the Breez app, but just important people know this.

GM! Congrats to $58k gang. Idk how you did it, but you REALLY did it…

When checking out at an online store and you’re selecting payment options, the Bitcoin one needs to specify if it’s basechain only or also lightning BEFORE you decide. I hate when I’m buying something <$40 and find out only after selecting the only option is basechain. I will abandon that purchase every time.

Haha! 🤣 Please do not post your license plate people. Any unique identifier is a bad idea regardless of if you’re a nym or not.

Very tasty coffee 👍🏻👍🏻 nostr:note1lu54en8l3uha8w3s8v7vdjuathjsz5yn677f0xz5unk8r6qa6hvsyxmsdx

🤣🤣🤣 Only if it’s not LND. Be the change you want to see in the world. Shitcoins on lightning are lame

Most bullshit things are shockingly easy to not to comply with. My recent example: if you ask to opt out of facial recognition scanning at US airports literally nothing happens. They just say “okay” and look at you to match you to your ID.

GM! Love to daydream about my kids seeing the final Bitcoin halving and hoping they are safe, happy, and prosperous.

Simplified TLDR: you know which specific relay to check for which person. Aka “hey I use this relay #123, so please check there to find notes I publish”.

Believe they do award some passports for things like “outstanding achievement” in XYZ area they believe will benefit their country. Kevin O’Leary got one as a bad(imo) example.

Bringin and Lightspark Extend are tools that let you send a Lightning payment and have that simultaneously send and convert to a fiat bank account balance in seconds. This is the magic where living on a sovereign Bitcoin standard starts to be more realistic for the masses.

Not even taking a side either way, while this of course over time helps with the dollars of taxes you pay(assuming it’s structured reasonably) this creates an absolute nightmare of complex calculations and tracking that you have to do and carry over literally forever, including your descendants. An ever growing number of accountants, lawyers, and bureaucrats would be hired in this scenario for a net overall loss to society.

So in summation, I think this sounds good the the surface, but is actually not a solution.

GM! Love to see the recent Blitz wallet update. In a world without covenants this is probably roughly the best model we can do for now:

“Blitz using ecash for micro payments any amount under 1k sats is ecash over it is liquid and after 100k sats you get your own lightning channel and become 100% non custodial.”
