Well hello there! #cat #catstr
I receive my paycheck from my day job to my bank account, no other option for me atm. But that's already "blessed" by the tax collection agency, so that wasn't a problem. I suspect life insurance piqued their "curiosity".
Just received an email from the tax collector demanding an explanation for my incomes in 2023.
Sent it and the vast majority wasn't even an income, it was just me depositing cash I'd previously withdrawn because I had unforeseen expenses, moving money between accounts, an insurance policy that I'd cashed out, and some returns other people have made to my bank account because I'd bought something for them.
And it's not even that big of an income, I'm utterly ashamed to even say how little it was in total.
And they say we live in a free world... they can see every transaction I make on my bank accounts.
One of the songs we sing in my choir. I adapted it for strings and horns, and added some drums.
Original composer: Josip Štolcer Slavenski
Title: Slepačka (Blind Men Song)

This took me a while to figure out. It isn't as easy as trusting my instinct - I've always trusted it. For me it was often more about what to do about it - how to handle a situation in which I knew something was off.
Exactly. The whole Constitution is written as a limitation on the government, not the people. That's why it begins with "We the people..." because they are defining the limits within which the government can operate.
Yep, also made some contributions as well. Nothing big so far, but I plan on continuing working with nostr:npub10npj3gydmv40m70ehemmal6vsdyfl7tewgvz043g54p0x23y0s8qzztl5h on improving it.
The server running my relay was restarted and I haven't set it up to automatically start the relay on boot. 🤦♂️
I've handled that and the relay is back up and running.
GM, #nostr!
Planning another hike next Friday. This time to the far east of my country. I'm targeting four short peaks, but there's quite a bit of driving to do, including between them, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get them all in a day.
Yup! I've set it all up to run a #nostr relay, time to use it to send and receive zaps.
The universe is telling me I should use my self-hosted LN service.

Same with touch screens in cars.
4am this morning the sky over the mountains is crystal clear, to the point i was even able to get a photo of some stars

the brightest one top left is Sirius and just out of frame up to the right would be visible the Pleiades
so if there is aurora in the coming days there is some chance i'll actually be able to photograph it... would look amazing if it can be seen with the dark profile of the mountains cutting a line below it
Nice view of Orion.
Can't see a damn thing where I am, it's been raining and completely overcast for the past 3 days.
The Sun has emitted a massive solar flare. It will reach Earth by October 5, causing an extreme geomagnetic storm.
According to initial analysis, there is no threat to humans.
No, I've never seen this. Try opening a channel with someone else. I opened one with a mere 10k sats.
Olympus Mons is the tallest volcano on #Mars estimated to be 21 to 29km high making it the largest volcano in the Solar System, ~2.5 times the height of Mount Everest above sea level. At the top there are six or seven overlapping calderas 60x80km across and around 3km deep.
Aside from that, there are two large craters on the mountain itself, named Karzok (15.6km diameter and ~1120m deep) and Pangboche (10.4km diameter and ~1020m deep). Olympus Rupes are a group of cliffs that form the northern border of the mountain.
Olympus Mons is about the size of Arizona:

No need for a dump when you get zaps, although I wouldn't mind one as I still have that recurring buy set up.
