The debate on censoring ordinals seems to be a classic example of time preference. If you think that ordinals are a gimmick and have no value then wait them out. If you are able to have low time preference you know they will eventually not exist due to their lack of value. To try to censor the transactions is a high time preference decision trying to push your own value system onto the network. Let ₿itcoin do what it does and wash out the high time preference players.
200k BY CONFERENCE DAY??
And I don’t think AI will ever be able to do justice to the 15 minute tangential rabbit hole rants that makes your pods so good.
That is the base layer technology that removes political actors. When you can’t censor you must live and work in a reality not as you want but as it truly exists.
Wanna know what the political elite and central bankers think of your lives… let nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev tell you!!
If Bitcoin is money then why do we say that we “buy” Bitcoin? I think we should change the terminology to “exchange” for bitcoin. This would be more linguistically correct and would give us better grounds from which to defend Bitcoin from ridiculous capital gains taxes should we ever need to exchange it back for fiat and pay a fiat bill. What day you fellow bitcoiners? #exchangefiatforbitcoin
Individual choices should be subjugated to the collective in their world view.
But reality always rears its ugly head and people act based on their own subjective values, wants, and needs. This is why the only way to have the best outcomes for the most people is to allow for truly free markets where individuals reap the rewards and suffer the consequences of their own decisions.
I believe it’s real coming from the Atlantic. Just makes me sad the complete lack of basic economic sense.
Well done. My wife started knitting and crocheting a few years back when we started sending our kids to a Waldorf School as a means of being ahead of the kids. Part of the pedagogy of Waldorf schools around the world is to develop the “whole child”. This includes Handwork class starting in 1st grade where they first make their own knitting needles then learn to knit. Really great for fine motor skills.
It gets harder and harder to remember the before times. And new people onboarding to both nostr and Bitcoin will have such an easier transition thanks to the hard work of so many devs and dedicated bitcoiners/freedom maxis.
Please don’t make us choose canned cranberry sauce over The Fed. The horror!!
Hey nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s , I’ve never had a Twitter or Instagram so I don’t have the best frame of reference, but my experience on Damus so far has been pretty rad. At first, my experience was kind of like @sommerfeld mentioned, but I didn’t follow a lot of people nor did I know you could mute things. Now that I follow a lot of really interesting people, it’s great. I don’t know shit about Bitcoin or development, but I find plenty of content that is amusing as hell. I think users should take accountability for their own experience. If you don’t see the type of content you enjoy, create it.
This is life outside the algorithms. Take personal responsibility for your feed as suggested. Also, do your best to bring in others who you find interesting in all aspects of your life. More viewpoints mean more content mean more adoption!!🫡
Add gardening in conjunction with cooking.

And as always Guy does a little ranting!!🤣🤣
Professional sports career out the window… why not turn to macroeconomics? That about sum it up!!??
Need to build an app called namestr where you can post a concept and let people help name the app.
