Agreed- huge step up to know the farm where your protein comes from. I used the Beef Initiative website to find local farmers/ranchers that will sell direct. Beef, pork, chicken, turkey and more- from his farm, to a small processor, and back to him to sell to his customers. Couldn’t be happier to support this guy and his family, doing things the right way.
We also stopped going there when they went over the edge. I have a very hard time believing anything has really changed there. I see this, if true, is them trying to get out of the spotlight. Not much different than Zuck or Bezos trying to act like they’ve changed their tune now. No thanks.
I’m not technical enough to have any great ideas. I might try using an alternate device, other clients, etc- but that’s just a guess to see if it’s related to one link in the chain.

Have you heard any convincing arguments for any other than BTC? I don’t have a mindset to try to trade anything for quick returns. I know my timing will be off and I’ll hold too long. I love buying BTC and imagining my kids or grandkids spending it.

If the dip is still higher than the price 6 months ago, I have a hard time calling it a “dip”. But I still bought more. 😂
I worry that if I over complicate things, if I get hit by a bus, then what chance will my family have? Steel, encrypted files, multisig… my spouse doesn’t want to understand this yet, and my kids are too young. I know everything is a risk and trade off, but I’ve never found a strategy that felt right on this.
The same people are mad at the recently unvaccinated, who told us we were crazy to not get jabbed, and then are lucky we guessed right on that one. We all have access to the same info- most people just don’t want to understand anything for themselves first.

I look forward to the circular economy days. For now, I only know one business I buy from (a rancher) who would accept BTC. But he’s told me he would just stack it as a long term savings. Which is fine- but if I send him $300 worth of BTC, I’d just end up sending it from a cash portion of Strike or something and replacing it with fiat. I understand building the future we want to see- just wish it felt more like the alternative to fiat than an add on to it. For now at least.
It might have been in the past- but this list is a roadmap to the future. At least a future worth striving toward.
