Nostr is 90% bitcoin content and many bitcoiners dont even know about nostr. We probabaly need more non-btc content for one. Also with Elon freeing twitter so people have less of an incentive to leave. Its just really hard to break any kind of network effects like Facebook and twitter. I have also never seen any advertising for primal or amestyth
True, but I did have a family friend that lost a lot of money from her bank getting hacked a few months ago. But agreed, I think we are quite a ways from this being an issue in the US. And if it does come to that, I wouls hope we would see some warning signs. In the end, I only keep in fait what I'm willing to loose

Much more important concern than mstr owning lots of BTC. However I don't see how a fork forced on my governments is much of a concern. Especially if by that time they have a considerable amount of wealth in BTC. Seems very risky for them. Also, the large governments would likely have to colude in order to take away enough hash power assuming the miners agreed and didn't just get up and leave for somewhere else. Definitely a good thought experiment though and we for sure need to watch out for this. Government and large fund managers are not going to like the lack of control. I think I could see them trying to do a hard fork over the fear of "quantum resistant addresses" as well.

Look at the US incentives. I don't blame them because it gives them so much power. It might keep the USD sinking ship afloat for longer, but eventually it will collapse. More time for developers to build out everything necisarry for a smooth transition to a global BTC standard. Maybe this could incentives governments to support BTC to avoid an increase of USDT in their country? We already see Russia and Venezuela trading in BTC to avoid sanctions.
