There’s a great book by a Wharton professor on what emotions make viral content it’s actually interesting. I recall there’s two axes one is positive/negative the other is energy of the emotion (ie sad is low energy and negative angry is high energy and negative, wonder is high energy and positive) Obviously corporations can mess with whatever they want. Worth reading either way

Same thing happened to me when the criminals at a toyota dealership tried to charge me $1900 to replace my AC compressor (best case scenario for them should be like $1200 with tons of profit)
Go sniffing around and come to find that sensors are a frequent failure mode and you can test them by putting a magnet over them. Lo and behold AC blows cold again. Just replaced the $50 and a couple hours of elbow grease.
Imo Fiat accelerates this type of deception. As prices rise and you have to extract value back, the quality of your diagnosis, approach and your soul itself gets degraded in quality.
