Hey, if they had a rule that says "all users must pretend not to be pedophiles" then I wouldn't mind so much. But Funnyjunk doesn't have any public rules, beside like a fake "don't be transphobic" rule to throww off SJWs, and a real "please don't post loli porn in the NSFW section of our website."
People who only want to hire their own people don't make for good candidates. The problem isn't that some people (Indians in this meme) are racist. The problem is that the people who care about merit are shitty at caring about merit.
In general, it's a scaling problem. As your company expands in 4 dimensions, it loses the ability to coordinate its farthest extremities. Henry Ford does not have the same influence over Ford at this point in time that he has at it's founding.
The solution is either to get better at maintining company structure and quality into the future, (by identifying retarded racists before they end up on the hiring board) or by just creating a new company the moment the existing companies get shitty enough that they can no longer compete.
This works a lot better if customers have the liberty to choose the best product and if it's easy for them to switch their choice. It works better if people have the liberty to start their own companies working by different rules and if the barrier to entry isn't artificially raised. And it works better if the state doesn't have enough power for a corporation to use them to any effect against potential competitors.
Lol, sounds like you were being really annoying. Not that there is anything wrong with being incredibly irritating to be around for any extended period of time.
I lost the ability to post on 4 accounts over the course of a few years on Funnyjunk.com
Despite my efforts I was never given an explanation. Not even so much as a message saying I'm banned or that I broke some sort of rule.
My guess is that if it wasn't some kind of bizzare bug, then the first time was because I developed a reputation as being a pedophile. The second two accounts were silenced once I started asking questions and drawing attention to the fact that the admin might be trying to censor people without anyone else realizing. And the final account I suspect was silenced because I refused to develop any kind of reputation at all, posting as anon for every single comment.
To this day Funnyjunk users still think the site values freedom of speech. Me personally? I think Admin just likes a different sort of speech, and doesn't want anyone to know it.
Please please please just some way for clients to find out which notes are blocked and which relays those notes originally came from.
I use Debian because it's like a more generic form of Ubuntu. I get to be a Linux Mint baby by choosing the Cinnamon desktop environment while also pretending to be a generally competent Linux user.
Arch Linux... I've heard arguments, but I genuinely have a hard time seeing any situation where I would need that level of control.
Then maybe Monero is for everyone after all. It's only the most flamboyant and attention seeking among us who insist on bragging about using Monero even though doing so goes against the whole point of the currency.
My PC got cancer ):
Rare candy.
It's something you will see in every Nostr app. If you click on a few profiles you might find one from mostr.pub
Any user like that is from the fediverse. They are able to see our posts too. We can reply to eachother. The only difference is that they can be banned from their instance, whereas Nostr users cannot so easily be banned from Nostr.

I just deleted everything else on my phone. Works great!
I remember one of their mods quoted one of my posts, and then blocked me from Nicecrew once I started talking with a few of their users. Baffling.
I would love to be bridged to Bluesky. I'm always interested in hearing new perspectives, especially if they are hostile perspectives from people who hate me.
I honestly don't know whether to be irritated or thankful.
From my past experiences, maybe someone who hates me will notice the pattern themselves and get irritated by it. Then they will take a screenshot where it comes up in a conversation and follow me around everywhere reposting it constantly in an attempt to make me look bad. That in itself would be really awkward because of how much I generally enjoy attention.
But maybe Nostr will be slightly more sane than Funnyjunk.
Just tell people where you heard it from. "My leader told me to tell you this..."
