What does the #Bitchat crowd think about https://qaul.net/ ?
Quite some overlap in the features, it seems.

Wondering how many people at #39c3 "secretly" own Bitcoin ..
.. as in, they're not open about it at 39c3 .. because it seems a bit like Bitcoin is almost habitually being frowned upon there ...
... but that may just be the vibe that I individually picked up.
🤔 is noone on nostr posting about #39c3 ?
Or am I just not seeing tge notes?
(maybe because I haven't set search relays)
And just for legal reasons they will fit the "asking for access" somewhere innocuous, where people will just click approve quickly like with all those EULA forms they already had in the early Windows versions.
Is this bloke still with us?.. https://video.nostr.build/bbf4d929f6d66401f059d52a3be69824bebebfbd85fb3a35f251f75d1b00b2f8.mp4
Can tell from experience .. it's more about water .. rather than food .. food is often heated, so less risky .. drink a sip of water though .. from that plastic cup in which they serve you water .. from that bucket in the corner .. bam, you'll have it.
As I've been saying about the Apps-walled-gardens problem for years:
The best way to fight is:
Use services via websites & browser.
The principle: use it or lose it.
You _have_ to give companies a financial incentive to keep services accessible via websites.
You _have_ to give managers statistics that say: we've had 30 % of interactions with our service via the website, we cannot lose this.
If people 95 % opt for the App, because "muh, App has so much better UI/UX than browser" they'll turn off websites as soon as they can.
Same goes for websites working with Firefox/derivatives: if you want maintainers to make sure their websites work well with FF, you have to use FF and thus flood their servers with your FF user agent.
If shops risk missing revenue by their website not working for people with buying power .. they will make sure their site works with the browser.
Until I come across some trustworthy randomised control trial study, suggesting that LED lights are indeed bad for sleep, I don't buy it.
Been surrounded by those lamps for years .. sleep just fine.
I'm damn sure that exposure to VOC chemicals emissions from us being literally surrounded by plastics for hours in a day .. as well as breathing in and ingesting micro/nano plastics ALL the time .. is a health problem that's so much larger than LED light.
Putting both adverse effects on one chart, the damage from LED light would be hardly noticeable, I'd think.
⚡️💬 NEW - Gates says African farmers will have AI advisors, along with "better seeds and animal genetics" to become a "significant net food exporter." Using AI and their phone, they will be able to talk to the "doctor," the "tutor," the "farm advisor" and "pay nothing for it."
https://blossom.primal.net/1e0eabf3171db2c5289a00104079dbc56a96d12ff21fa8f8df481ed9bba36022.mp4
Somehow the AI growth train has to be kept rolling .. especially with all these investments/commitments/bets .. this is also the boon of the corporate world being utterly dependent on Windows/m365 .. all the companies are going to pay for the whole AI party .. and .. all the better if Africans get hooked on US OpenAI instead of Chinese DeepSeek .. so get them access and lock in some subscription models ..
⚡️💬 ICYMI - Gary Brecka just dropped a total paradigm-shifter while sitting with Barbara O’Neill
Brecka: “The parabolic rise in skin cancer is almost perfectly superimposable with the parabolic rise in sunscreen use.”
O’Neill: “Exactly. Author Ian Whishart claims sunscreens themselves are causing basal cell carcinomas.”
Brecka: “It’s the inflammatory process on the skin + the vitamin D deficiency. We were literally designed to manufacture ONLY ONE vitamin in our bodies — vitamin D3 from sunlight + cholesterol — and then we spent decades vilifying both the sun and cholesterol.”
O’Neill nodding hard: “And the vitamin D deficiency is massive…”
Not medical advice, not telling anyone what to do — just two of the most followed health voices on the planet openly challenging 50 years of “fear the sun” programming.

Makes me wonder if either ...
A) .. those supposedly harmful effects of seed oils apply to ALL sorts of these oils and ALL ways of processing and consuming them ..
.. or ..
B) .. some oils and/or ways of consuming them are perfectly healthy.
(And they're only harmful because most people are systematically shooting themselves in some other way.)
The mechanism that UFA/PUFA are less stable and thus deteriorate from exposure to UV sounds pretty plausible.
But our bodies have marvellous mechanisms of self repair.
Maybe under certain conditions, let's say, for example, enough sleeping hours, which contribute to high melatonin, which is a powerful antioxidant, the seed oils are not harmful ..?
Interesting thing (well, nothng new to y'all). My mostly carnivore husband gets foggy and nauseous after most baked goods, may it be a birthday cake, a bun or a slice of bread. Doesn't really matter how much he eats, he just goes down.
Not when I make it or when we buy some artisan stuff (that costs 3x as much of course.)
https://youtu.be/YtWokSMmC3Q #foodstr #bakestr #baking #breadstr
So it's not just his endocrine system not being used to carbs and thus glucose doing wild spikes when he doea eat carbs?
Because nausea doesn't happen with special carbs.
Maybe those special carbs are low glycemic index / wholegrain?
Sadly it looks like AI .. just pause the video at second 6 .. you'll see some very coarse faces and other elements.
⚡️💬 NEW - Bret Weinstein just said something interesting ⤵︎
For the first time in 300,000 years of human evolution, we removed the cost from the single biggest reward nature ever invented — sex and pair-bonding.
Reliable birth control + abortion = you can now cash the evolutionary lottery ticket without paying the 20-year mortgage of pregnancy, diapers, sleepless nights, and college funds.
Result? An entire generation of 18–35-year-olds walking around with the energy, libido, hormones, and protective instincts that evolution spent millions of years calibrating for child-rearing… but with zero actual children. That energy didn’t disappear. It got redirected.
Heather Heying’s observation is brutal: young women especially began treating ideologies the exact way evolution wired them to treat babies. Climate change, social justice, whatever the cause of the month is — it gets defended with literal mama-bear ferocity, the same neurochemistry that once guarded a toddler from predators now guards an abstract idea from wrong think.
And now Elon is promising the second shoe is about to drop: AI-driven abundance will make money as “free” as sex became in the 1970s. Both of evolution’s primary carrots — mating and resource acquisition suddenly cost almost nothing.
Weinstein’s ice-cold question: When producing and protecting actual children is no longer the central organizing principle of adult life… and when creating wealth is no longer required for status, security, or attracting a mate…What is left to give a human life direction, meaning, and structure?
Are we about to become a species that invents bigger and bigger dragons to slay just to feel alive? Or do we drift into total listlessness?
Watch it all the way through, then tell me — honestly — does this explain the absolute intensity we’re seeing in culture right now, or is Bret completely missing something?

Well, the claim that "cost of sex --> closer to zero" is somewhat true.
But .. the other thing ..
> .. and when creating wealth is no longer required for status, security, or attracting a mate ..
That is obviously wrong.
Looks to me like his thinking derailed a bit there.
GrapheneOS looks like a very valuable project.
But this text makes it sound as if you can trust a phone with GrapheneOS installed if only the keys/signatures were verified on boot.
Seems naive to me to trust a hardware device with probably hundreds of opaque blobs even when it has the best open-source OS installed.
One possibility would be to crash the price by moving all the coins believed lost.
That'd be crazy wild .. if they had indeed created it as an attractor for libertarians and system opponents ..
.. to make them think they have an exit ..
.. to let it ride and do its thing .. for years and decades ..
.. to then finally pull the plug at the right time ..
.. to make it collapse and leave the opponents in the dust.
Maybe they don't want to wait for the weeks/months/years long that it may take to bounce back 🤔
⚡️🇫🇷 WATCH - Woman goes viral for showing how she gets to her apartment in Paris

I'd say she's quite well off .. beautiful buildings .. plus she gets the benefit of having exercise two times a day .. and she doesn't need to try to fit it in her day either, it does so automatically.
Will it mean that real estate specifically in popular areas will get notably cheaper?
Wouldn't be so sure about that.
Does this fantastic illustration have some name or source?
Who used it first in what context?
Choose digital platforms where you don't own what you buy .. and choose to let the network effect make these platforms gain power through market share --> this is what you get.
⚡️🇺🇸🇮🇱 ARCHIVE - Zohran Mamdani has declared he will arrest Benjamin Netanyahu in America, defying the fact that the U.S. does not acknowledge the International Criminal Court.

I'll believe it when I see it happening.
Let them little lungs clean that two stroke exhaust? 🥹
Well, you're either naive, "no data is illegal" or you live in some fictional world.
And you're unfriendly "Gfy".
Not good grounds to discuss.

Crazy how we have all this great tech .. but at the same time we have companies that can't help but enshittify it all ..
As long as openstreetmap.org is without ads we can always go there .. but will companies find some way to enshittify that as well?
Not so sure they won't.
Well, I don't know anything about zcash and only little about Bitcoin.
But pure logic is enough to conclude that the argument with lost purchasing power is invalid.
If everyone had ditched Bitcoin, its purchasing power would have likely dropped against whatever coin that would have gained wide adoption instead.
🤔 Because .. it proves you were able to make intelligent statements _without_ relying on AI?
I don't know if this is true but I wouldn't be surprised! https://video.nostr.build/ef3cc015fe7565df886d5a1ab16c85caf773c3984d5ea20cd98f67a32ccd09a3.mp4
The universe is a curious thing .. our whole existence is a mystery.
Crazy things are possible, reality is crazy.
So to claim this is provably impossible would not be correct.
But using water as a fuel in the chemical environment that is a property of our earth is utterly unlikely to be possible, otherwise it would have become common technology very quickly, decades ago.
Solange man wenigstens die Schweiz als positives Beispiel (bei einigen Themen) direkt vor der Nase hat, wäre zu hoffen dass irgendwann genug EU Bürger bemerken, dass die EU teilweise großen Mist macht.
