Damn, wat een irritante interviewer zeg, je krijgt amper de kans om dingen uit te leggen en hij wil telkens de slimme meneer uithangen

Hey Nostr,

I’ve been tinkering with an idea for a mobile app (name TBD—maybe ā€œProof of Moveā€, ā€œMovestrā€, or something else dope; suggestions welcome!) aimed at athletes and dancers, and I’d love your thoughts, critiques, and tips. The gist: record videos of your moves, analyze your form, and get community feedback—all built on Nostr with Blossom for video uploads. Before I dive into building a prototype, I want to gauge if this has legs. Here’s the breakdown:

The Vision

Picture this: you record a video in the app, use built-in tools to check your form—slow-motion, frame-by-frame, maybe overlays for angles—and then share it with the Nostr for tips. Others watch, drop comments (even tied to specific timestamps in the video), and help you improve. It’s about leveling up your skills with peer input, all decentralized. Zaps will be integrated for that extra community vibe.

Example Usages

A dancer nailing a pirouette, checking if their posture’s on point.

A lifter tweaking their squat, looking for feedback on depth or back angle.

Calisthenics training, where you’re trying to hold a planche and want tips on wrist positioning or core tension.

Bouldering, attempting a V5 send but not seeing the beta—community spots the foothold you missed.

A gymnast working on a backflip, needing input on tuck timing.

A martial artist practicing a roundhouse kick, asking if their hip rotation needs work.

A yogi holding a tricky pose like crow, wondering if their balance looks off.

Technical Setup

Here’s the plan so far:

Video Recording: Straight from your mobile camera, saved as webm for now.

Uploads with Blossom: Videos go to a Blossom server (e.g., http://blossom.example.com/upload), which returns a URL like http://blossom.example.com/video123. Keeps it simple and Nostr-friendly, inspired by how OLAS handles media.

Add discoverability of the sports and activities you subscribe to, or you see a feed of people you follow.

Nostr Events: Two posts:

Custom kind: 32268: A dedicated event type for the app (placeholder for now, might change). It carries the video URL and structured metadata in content, like:

{"title": "Pirouette Check","video_url": "http://blossom.example.com/video123%22,%22description%22: "First attempt, feedback welcome!","metadata": {"duration": 15,"fps": 60,"annotations": [{"timestamp": 5.2, "note": "Knee slightly bent"},{"timestamp": 8.1, "note": "Arms need to go higher"}]}}

Tags: ["t", "danceform"], ["r", ""] for discovery and linking.

Auto-generated kind: 1 Teaser: If you opt in to share publicly, the app posts a teaser linking to the kind: 32268 event via an e-tag:

{"content": "Check my pirouette! Feedback in the app: http://blossom.example.com/video123 #danceform","tags": [["e", "", "wss://relay.damus.io", "reply"], ["t", "danceform"], ["r", ""]]}

This pops up in Damus, Primal, etc., nudging folks to the app for the full deal.

Questions for You

Use Case: Would you use this for sports, dance, or something else (like the examples above)? What features would hook you?

Blossom: Solid pick for video uploads, or should I explore NIP-96, IPFS, or another option? Know any reliable public Blossom servers?

Event Structure: A custom kind: 32268 for video + metadata—good idea, or overkill? Should I just cram it into a different kind?

Analysis Tools: How big a deal are slow-motion, overlays, or AI posture detection? Worth prioritizing?

Timestamp Comments: Liking the idea of comments tied to specific video timestamps? How should that feel in the app?

Naming: ā€œProof of Moveā€ (nod to Bitcoin vibes), ā€œMovestrā€ (Nostr-style), or something else? What’s your pick?

Gotchas: Any traps I’m missing? Relay strain, video size limits, Blossom quirks?

Next Steps

I haven’t built a prototype yet—want to make sure it’s worth the effort first. If there’s buzz, I’ll start coding, add analysis tools, and maybe open-source it. Could even host a Blossom server if public ones choke.

What’s your take? Tear it down, suggest tweaks, or let me know if this is something you’d vibe with. Bonus points for killer name ideas—your input’s gold! Thanks for weighing in!

Probably some boating accident #btcprague

#btcprague is more into shitcoinery than last year.

Even a horribly presented announcement for a new exchange is allowed here…

Bitcoiners don’t care about trading. And especially are not interested in shitcoin casinos

Finally back in Prague! I missed you
