We don't have a ban on guns. I grew up on a farm surrounded by guns. We still have the farm and the guns. You fuck off, and maybe read a book.
Another case of survivorship bias. The long term stats on gun crime in Australia, suggest it does.
This is A-grade textbook survivorship bias.
You say that as if the US is the best example, both of these shooters were shot and at the same time in the US a man goes on a university shooting spree and then wanders off and checks himself into a hotel.
Exactly, and we already have a shitload of guns. 28M people with over 4M guns.
Guns are not illegal dude, just harder to get and no concealed/full/semi auto. When you live in a country with as much deadly wildlife as we have, lots of people have guns.
Only hand guns and semi/full auto. Check your facts and your spelling.
No one made guns illegal, just the ones that would have made this 10x worse.
There was a shooting in the states just hours before this. The only 100% is how many more mass shootings has than any other country.
We didn't. We got rid of the ones that would have made this 10x worse. We still have guns.
🙄 ok Mr.Hero - I think you had a shooting of your own to focus on, or is that just a standard bloody Sunday.
Never heard of Kafka? It's java rubbish, but very widely used rubbish.
Yeah, we get dialects based on what industry we work in rather than what country we come from.
Love to know how. Mining rigs are not GPU's. Selling power, sure, selling "computer power".. mmmm not sure
I think the idea is that it has more long term potential to do that (thousands of targets at once) than the alternatives.
I actually like a lot of his ideas. He's pretty switched on and makes a lot of sense. As a product that can be used to track property like housing and business contracts Ethereum is actually a good fit. I think the product they sell is "Truth" which has a place in the world. Better than Solana which is just a data-centre racket fronting as a blockchain. Sure, eth should stay away from money, it hasn't got the right fundamentals for that, but there's no need for bitcoiners to hate Eth.
Nah, this doesn't quite work. You end up owned by a company.
The planet and the physics associated with it is perhaps the 1 thing that gives less of a fuck about fiat than your good self. There is a "too much carbon" number, somewhere, no need to pretend there isn't.
I realized the other day that Wikipedia has an article for me now.
It doesn't mention most of my work or Broken Money, but it does mention that nothing stops this train. 🤷

Or in the words of ordinary citizens, "nothing stops this pain".
Tell me about yourself without telling me about yourself. All good my man. Let's check in down the track.
I love how this place is all "there's no free lunch".. and then I show them how much fundamental lunch is being consumed and they're like "shut up, it's free".
I'm really not, I'm well aware of the benefits. I'm also completely aware of the consequences you've raised. I could honestly state 20 benefits to smoking that would have verifiably accurate data in the 80's. Great social benefits, pleasant rush, conducive to thinking slow about problems, suppresses appetite.. Those are all correct facts. It's important that we don't ignore fundamentals, unless you're honestly saying that no amount of earth warming or co2 increase matters.
That's incredible. Awesome.
