You might try Robinhood. Yes it’s a bank, but one that is being pretty disruptive in the staunch, established banking system. It’s a good compromise IMO.
Checked it out. I’ll start a miner because, why not? 😃
It may just be best to research a bottled drinking/cooking water solution in your area and use municipal for everything else. That’s what we do even though RO would make our water better it really depends on molecule size. If the contaminant has a smaller molecule size than H2O it’s coming through. Sodium fluoride for example disassociates to F- and NA+ in aqueous solution. Both molecules smaller than H2O.
It’s all pretty outrageous. I’m appalled that people accept this and these kinds of governance.
That’s a little more difficult. I think the first step is to identify the specific compounds you are trying to remove. Volatility becomes relevant here.
I watched that video. It made my blood boil. Consequences be damned I would have torn the testicles off of that asshole choking the girl with my bare hands.
nostr:npub17nvfw7g53nxjghyd2zg552z06cke0jc0k69hj7ns7f9pw26j9kusap4u85 have you done any research into home drinking water filtration? I'm trying to dig into Berkey vs RO systems but damn the internet is just full of sponsored crap. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I seem to remember nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx and nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy talking about Berkey 🤔
So I’ve done a fair amount of research in this area. How bad is your water and what are the contaminates you are trying to eliminate?
Sounds like a form of social credit. Nope.
I really don’t want or like Frankensteined vehicles. With professional repair services outrageous and often incompetent, what options does a person really have?
Haha! I literally had to DDG search sunburned asshole to remember the name, but Josh Brolin tried this and well…he’s now internet famous for having a sunburned anus.
Yep. I butcher my own hogs and the leaf lard is key to confections of all kinds. I don’t bake, meat and veggies is my thing but it’s consistency is beautiful and I picture flakey croissants every time I pull some out. 😁
The worst of the shitcoins, headed towards adoption as a CBDC perhaps. It sure looks that way.
Good afternoon / evening 😊 ☀️🌻

Challenge Day 16 💪
(Last epoch of the challenge)
288 completed ✅️
1728 to go...
I always did sports as a kid. I was on a skipping team in elementary school. In high school I played basketball. As an adult, pre-covid and motherhood, I did yoga & Pilates on a weekly basis.
After I gave birth and was cleared to start exercising again, I was mortified to discover that I couldn't do a sit-up.
A few short months later, lockdowns happened. Studios were closed.
Adjusting to being a new mom + having to rebuild physical strength and lose weight without the support of a team, Pilates or yoga instructor was a challenge to say the least.
I had to accept my weakness and work on getting stronger.

Impressive dedication.
I agree that the scenarios are changing dramatically with the times. I’ve travelled extensively to some of the most crime ridden areas of the US and previously never felt the need to be armed, largely because the crime that involved shooting had a specific context between people or groups of people like gangs. Sure you could be unlucky and catch a stray, but that would happen either way. The mass shooter increase has changed my opinion, so now I carry everywhere, but still, against a dude with a rifle and maybe body armor it’s seems likely one or two shots is all the opportunity you’ll have to stop them before thirty rounds or more of rifle power is going to be focused on your location. If those shots are not powerful enough to at least knock the wind out of a person and break some ribs through body armor I think it’s a dire situation. Sometimes I think the Ruger Alaskan 2.5” snub in .454 Casull is the right edc, but it’s big and heavy and I wish it had more capacity. Trade offs. 😒
I have a Pinephone and haven’t found a suitable portfolio of apps for it or frankly an OS that isn’t buggy.
I agree. We had a litter of wild hog/Berkshire cross when a wild boar got in with a standing heat sow. There was amazing demand for those piglets, marketed as exactly what they were. I’ve recently come to understand that fish and game has some problem with the sale of wild hog piglets, though for the life of me I cannot understand why the offspring of an invasive species would be regulated by fish and game, however I digress, and believe that truth in advertising is important.
Thank for this, we like the fat in our pork, I think the breeds that have been optimized for lean pork (Yorkshire) have reduced demand for pork over all because most lean pork eats like shoe leather. Berkshire hogs are well marbled, particularly sows that have reached the end of their production run. I think they’d make some awesome prosciutto.
I’ve noticed this too. Frustrating, but I assumed it was me not paying attention to how many threads I was into a conversation.
It might help to see the world through the view of an infectious virus. Viruses are opportunistic in every way. A vaccine must prevent transmission of viral load from one person to another. Our immune system deals with small amounts of pathogenic substances constantly. We would literally be dead within hours if it didn’t.
A vaccine must prevent infection, either by preventing the virus from accessing cells for reproduction or by preparing the immune system in advance so that antibodies are already present and ready to be manufactured.
A vaccine must prevent disease, in most cases this is accomplished by preventing transmission and infection.
Vaccines are not effective if they fail to prevent these things, as viruses replicate at astounding rates in a diseased person’s body. Every reproductive iteration yields a statistical chance that the virus will mutate in an advantageous way. Because vaccines are static, an advantageous mutation renders the entire population at risk. Respiratory viruses are particularly infectious for three primary reasons. First, they don’t cause debilitating illness before they reach peak viral load in the mucosa. Second, droplet transmission via sneezing and coughing is a perfect method of transmission for fragile viruses that literally die within seconds outside the body, third the mucosa is isolated from the body’s immune response and as such provides a reservoir for the virus to reach respiratory epithelial cells and infect them.
The mRNA vaccines are literally endangering the entire human population in an attempt to save a group of people who have immune systems too weak for survival. I’m sorry if it’s your loved one who is this case, but folks, not everyone is fit for survival. Special accommodations for disadvantaged people is one thing, promiscuous DNA genetic engineering on a global scale is the wrong answer. In the long run, humanity will be lucky to survive this era, we are just one pernicious virus or bacteria away from being wiped out, it literally happens every day to other species on this planet. Why not us?
