I understand, I struggle with accommodating people who dress like a princess and grow a full beard. I just assume they do it for attention, similar to tattooing your face or piercing your face hundreds of times. I just choke on new pronouns for now. I don’t really see the point, unless we’re intimate, I really don’t care what is between your legs, and most people who do weird things for attention aren’t people I associate with, so for now it works for this old dog.

There is something to be said for good and simple, but I understand the impetus to strike out on your own. Yes, she is from THAT kind of family, but I got the impression that most Norwegian families are pretty well provisioned. Isolated experiences obviously.

She did travel as a child, I understand that she was extremely difficult to rear because she refused to take medication or food consistently. I witnessed her absorbing Russian, it’s one thing to pick up a second or third Romance language, but Russian is pretty unique. I travelled with her for some time, learned about 1000 Norwegian words, I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent, but not near the level or variety of information acquisition she appeared to achieve so easily. She didn’t consider herself literate in any language but Norwegian, even though her Masters was from an American university. She was absolutely functional in all the languages she knew. Maybe this isn’t your niche, but don’t sell yourself short. Norwegian culture puts so much pressure on people to compete for post secondary education, she wasn’t accepted at any Norwegian school of journalism. As they say, C and D grades get degrees everywhere else in the world.

Generally I strongly dislike Trudeau, but I think trans men who have not had bottom surgery by choice or circumstance should be accommodated in places where it is common to accommodate women. Advertising your status by utilizing such a machine in a men’s restroom may unfortunately be a credible threat to your well being though. I’m not sure how to address that concern.

Absolutely understandable. Your perception of your circumstance is astute. I was hoping my children would carefully consider their choices, the verdict is out. I didn’t see my life this way in my youth, my expectation is that they won’t either, but as a parent you have to try. I had a ADHD girlfriend (from Norway lol) she is a journalist, with effort I could keep track of the six different conversations spoken in no particular order when her Adderall wore off, helped with her rough drafts, she speaks seven languages fluently though and as a global journalist that ability to absorb bits of information at an enormous rate proved a superpower. For her it was management and seeking the right niche for her characteristics.

I related it this way to my children. When you enter adulthood you are perched on the sharp peak of a snowcapped mountain. With every year, you descend the mountain, a small amount and the perimeter to any, or an opposite point on the mountain lengthens. This change is difficult to perceive, particularly if you continue on the same path for a number of years. If after some passage of time you desire a path on the opposite side, the traverse to get there will be effortful at least, impossible at worst. Choose the distant destination wisely.

There are some new regulations here in California regarding space for swine, but our operation has always not only provided space, but graze for our pigs. We have five sows, a few feeders and two boars. If the market stays strong I’d like to have ten sows eventually. Some would say the regulations are overreaching, but I think they counter the inhumane and unreasonable practices of commercial pork production. In short we provide space to accommodate not only necessities but also life cycle satisfaction.

Thank you, it wasn’t a good idea, but a wandering 700 pound boar isn’t a good idea either! 😁 Keeping swine contained, while allowing range and quality of life is a constant struggle. Why can’t they just be content? lol.

Skirting legal implications is the tricky part. Maybe distributed content based on some BitTorrent protocol, as you watch it you host it with no lasting local data? That would provide database pruning as well, as popularity wanes so does availability. I’d support development of these ideas to some degree. I think the world needs it to avoid centralized fascist thought control. Control the narrative, control the people. That is nothing new.

I’ve always thought the answer to this issue is to do nonudetube. Say anything you want, but if an algorithm detects anything more than hands and faces it immediately blocks the content. It seems to me like it may have a fighting chance at limiting censorship to necessary things only. Some ideas and expressions are repugnant, but the people should still have the right to express those sentiments.

I spent the day out in the rain repairing fences, we’re still missing a cow. I’ve been sick with a congested lung, bone ache, fever, tired virus something and I got soaked to the bone. It sure took the wind out of my sails. Thankfully Ms. Claus left a warm robe, socks and wool Christmas print pants under the tree this year.
