Red and blue makes….#NOSTR!
Amazing. 💜
People and the approaching global fascist governance…..but that was THOSE people getting crushed, not us, what is THIS tasty bit?
I think democracy as a purist form of governance is untenable, the Supreme Court’s mandate is solely to protect the constitutional rights of the minority from the tyranny of the majority. Fascists have taken control of our governmental system, a system that worked before corporate interests took control in the late 1960’s and 1970’s. Public-Private partnerships are an innocuous sounding phrase for corporate control of the people’s governance. It’s possible that open revolt is the only answer at this point in time, but war is hell people; everyone will pay with their lives and the lives of those they love.
Caring doesn’t cost much. I’m old. I’ll do what I can to help when I can from a safe distance. Ideas and discussions are powerful, #NOSTR is an awesome platform with some amazing people on it.
I’ve been watching some conversations you’re involved in. I don’t consider you to be much of a conversationalist, particularly skilled in polite debate, or pleasant in your approach to disagreements about policy. Insulting people is not an effective approach to progressing any agenda even if the pedagogical foundation is solid. nostr:npub19xgymswuxyq4sx58enft9c6algrm72a6lchplm4rjzgklufn9ygq5kcu58
I do a 72 hour fast the first four days of every month. I recommend a blood glucose tester, a blood ketone tester and MCT oil. I like coffee with three tablespoons of MCT as an energy booster, decaf when it’s close to bedtime. The Medium Chain Triglycerides are absorbed directly into the blood and do not initiate a glucose spike or an insulin response. They also trigger leptin, the hormone that creates satiety. If your body is not fat adapted MCT can cause diarrhea, be sure to drink plentiful water. The testers, each about $40.00 allow you to see how your blood chemistry is doing and allow you to troubleshoot if you start feeling unwell. A small amount of shakiness and muscle fatigue is normal for me, I test to make sure blood glucose levels are above 80 mg/dl, typically the testers are up to 10% +/- so this gives a margin for safety. At about 36 hours your ketone levels will rise dramatically. This is the beginning of autophagy, and the switching to free fatty acid metabolism for your body’s primary fuel rather than glucose and glycogen.
The benefit I notice the most is a mental and sensory acuteness that is unique to fasting for me, sometimes I feel like continuing because I feel so good, but it’s best not to go into keto acidosis, the process of metabolizing your own muscle tissue for fuel, not only will you lose muscle, but it is a last effort survival mechanism for your body to avoid organ failure with long term irreversible health consequences. It’s important to listen to your body, if you feel unwell it’s best to gently stop the fast. Drink 1/4 cup of fruit juice to bring blood glucose up, then half an avocado. Wait an hour and increase food consumption eating easily digestible food, keeping in mind that the capacity of your stomach will have decreased substantially. I wish you the best of experiences with prolonged fasting. I think it truly is a superpower.
I think dietary variation is better generally for your body than routine. We evolved without supply chains or consistent availability of anything except perhaps water. Routine leads to specific loads on specific systems consistently and can lead to consistent metabolite loads. Our bodies can handle an acute toxin load with better outcomes than a chronic exposure for these reasons. Peach pits contain arsenic, cherry pits cyanide. What compounds do you seek in apricot pits? Is it treatment of a condition or maintenance?
I’ve been thinking on this. I’m taking the time to attempt to offer a carefully considered response. 🫂
Anybody familiar with vitamin B17?

I’m currently reading ‘World Without Cancer’ from G. Edward Griffin. I’m skeptical of the deficiency hypothesis, but I did encounter some interesting findings that I could use some perspective on.
So, B17 / laetrile / amygdalin breaks down into three parts in the human body. One part is hydrogen cyanide. According to the ‘laetrilists’ the cyanide is detoxified by rhodanese / thiosulfate transferase (TST). Rhodanese is expressed by mitochondria in healthy human cells and underexpressed in cancer cells (I could find some scientific backing for this, but not overwhelming). So the hypothesis is that cancer cells are destroyed by the hydrogen cyanide, while healthy cells detoxify the hydrogen cyanide into thiocyanate.
Thiocyanate, that sounded familiar. Why? Because of isothiocyanates. Recently a lot of papers are published on broccoli sprouts as ‘green chemo’. The most abundant isothiocyanate (sulfuraphane) in broccoli sprouts has downstream anti-cancer effects.
Since iso indicates a different configuration, I assume it should be possible to convert thiocyanates into isothiocaynates for a double anti-cancer whammy. But my bio-chemistry is not sufficient to really find proof for this.

I was not previously aware of vitamin B17 and after doing cursory research I believe calling it a vitamin is misleading. IF I were suffering aggressive metastasized cancer with a poor prognosis, I may try nearly anything for treatment up to and including assisted suicide. Chemotherapy is literally controlled poisoning where the largest resilient mass sometimes survives, usually with long term consequences for your wellness. Regarding cancer, I generally believe the following to be true:
1. Cancer cells are present in every human body in some small, usually distributed quantity.
2. The human body has a unique and very effective mechanism featuring your own immune system for finding and disposing of damaged and destructive cells and foreign bodies called autophagy. This mechanism is effectively dormant in modern humans because of constant, habitual feeding.
3. When unregulated cancerous growth is found, your oncologist will first ask you to make changes to your diet, largely to control blood glucose levels because cancer needs massive amounts of glucose to survive and grow, this need explains the aggressive angiogenesis tumors show invariably.
4. While autophagy is not an effective strategy for treating established tumors, it is an effective mechanism for prevention, and while regulating blood glucose is not a guarantee that malignant tumors will fail to form and grow, it does make growth slower and more difficult for the cancer generally.
5. For some degree of protection against various metabolic disease including, arguably, cancer, I recommend a period of fasting for at least 48 hours once a month, and one meal every 24 hours for body mass maintenance.
The compounds found in amygdalin, are found in some seeds. I think it is important to note here that most plants have evolved mechanisms to prevent consumption of their seeds, and these mechanisms are energy expensive for the plant being considered. My opinion is that this compound amounts to self proctored chemotherapy, a treatment option that is professionally recommended and managed carefully with appropriate monitoring in cases where other options have been exhausted. While I do think that careful application of plant produced medicinal compounds can be effective, isolation and concentration of even the most basic necessary compounds is patently toxic to our biology, just consider the havoc unregulated glucose can wreak on every cell in your body. Be careful my friend. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to voice my opinion. 🫂
Ray Kurzweil? I’m familiar with the fantastic instruments. Does he have interesting philosophical views as well?
I attempt to find two or three interesting new people to follow on NOSTR every day. Most days I seek viewpoints patently at odds with or divergent from my own views. Who says that the horizon is limited to the perimeter of the circle created by the perception of your eyes? Amazing how elevation, curiosity, and genuine interest in our fellow human beings can create a network of collated horizons extending far beyond our own perceptive abilities. Strive for this, and you will discover the limitless potential humanity possesses inherently. #humanity #nostr #meshnetworks
They do look unappealingly hard. We’re so spoiled. 😁 First world problems are such a divine guilty pleasure.
I like the look of the early bird, I’d put a fried egg top and bottom though, and a few millimeters of aioli along with a drizzle of herb infused olive oil/balsamic vinegar soaked into each bread piece before assembly. GM indeed!
