A 8hr road trip Tmw with my kids, 11 & 12. I will listen to Atlas Shrugged for the 3rd time in an attempt to get my kids interested. IMO it is the most important novel they will ever read and should be part of the school curriculum. Wish me luck.
We are heading bush to visit family…some cattle work, some kills: 3 sheep, 1 heifer… lots of butchering, a bushwalk, some swimming in the river, a bit of horse riding. Looking forward to getting back to my roots.
Looks nasty however those twilight anaesthetic naps are the BEST! 😴

We run 2-4 chickens in our backyard in the city. It’s enough for fertiliser, eggs etc.
LOVE Nostr but I don’t like the way my zaps don’t show accurately… not sure if this is a Nostr or Damus issue but sometimes all zaps show in order, sometimes none, sometimes only the first zap I received, sometimes random zaps from months ago.
For me personally, zaps are the 2nd stickiest thing about Nostr … 2nd only to the quality of people and subsequent discourse.
Often I only know I’ve been zapped by looking at my linked wallet.
Because it is such a stickiness factor it would be great for any zaps you’ve received in between visits to hit you in the face as soon as you open your Nostr client.
Also, is there a Nostr marketplace yet?

That is the most brilliant thing I’ve heard today. Satoshi gets more and more legendary with every revelation.
I honestly believe that 100years from now people will talk about time in respect to before and after Satoshi.

I was frustrated also until I read Atlas Shrugged and then the unthinkable was revealed to me… they actually do want to be slaves. or in Ayn Rand’s words, they are not interested in ‘living’.
They do not want the responsibility that comes with ‘thinking’ and ‘living’. They want someone, anyone else to take that responsibility and in so doing they abdicate their responsibility, their thinking, their very life.
In essence, they’ve accepted the devil’s terms, they’ve sold their soul in order to resolve themselves if the responsibility that comes with having one.
Because most of us can only see through our existing paradigm. It takes a very special person to a. envision a new paradigm and b. be able to envision a new world through that new paradigm. That’s why they are called visionaries.
