I honestly don't think a world war in this day and age will play out how so many expect - Based on history.

The internet was an inflection point in information accessibility.

People do their own research far more than before. Many will not be willing to do what a government that cannot even sustain their society in a time of peace tells them to do - To go fight their now friends and die.

100 years ago there was a lot of cultural stigma against people from outside one's borders. Now, borders have become meaningless.

I think we're on the cusp of the majority of people, even the military, realising that those wars aren't theirs, they are the old men's that run governments and their own agendas behind their comfy desks.

They made fun of us for being hiding behind our keyboards. Now we use those keyboards to liberate ourselves from their puppeteering strings.

Use a nostr remote signer (NIP-46), such as Amber on Android. It will hold your key and apps have to ask it each time they want a signature from your key for an action.

"Nostr, interoperability baby!"

"On Nostr, always reach your audience!"

"We do direct messaging on Nostr... NIP-04 only!"

"We do direct messaging on Nostr... NIP-17 only!"

"We do direct messaging on Nostr.... NIP-59, non NIP-17 only!"

I think this is ONE of the things that REALLY needs to be ironed out as soon as possible. 🚨

If an app has direct-messaging capabilities, it should do direct-messaging, period. If that means standardizing for the current-times what is the acceptable NIP, and/or phasing-out others, so be it, but do it.

We still have clients that only support NIP-04 😬

Don't do X anymore.

Blocked all the scammers in one go.

If we were still on X, it'd be #Efficiency.

If there's an npub present, it should check NIP05 relays first, before adding a default one.

For reading, unsure although perhaps strfry's policy plugin can do something?. But for writing you can whitelist npubs on strfry and nostr-rs-relay.

NIP-46 should be THE standard by now.

NIP-55 seems to further support it within the Android eco-system. If your client runs on Android or as a PWA, I shouldn't be giving your application direct access to my private key.

I personally ONLY use Nostr clients that support remote signing with Amber and I imagine many users will follow suit when they realise how easy, seamless, but important it is.

Next time just paste the nevent string so people can watch on their client of choice πŸ‘

Thank you, completely forgot about Coracle!

Tried Coop, but haven't been able to test it properly (won't load after I give it a key, so need to spend more time on that one).

If you're like me, trying to #nostrize your protocols, you may have noticed #0xchat and #Amethyst can send each other encrypted DMs using newer NIPs, but almost no other client has implemented said NIPs in many months.

Further, both of those apps are Android only.

I've finally found a desktop client that can partake!

It's not flashy, but it's functional.

A lot of those you could've broken down into individual movies as was the original objective rather than going by series/franchise, would've kept you in the race for longer 😏

LOTR: Fellowship of the ring

Matrix: Reloaded

Dark Knight Rises

Seriously though if you enjoyed Perfume, I check out The Red Violin πŸ‘

Teach money.

It's origins, history, where it's at. This should get people to question it earlier.

More practical learning, less theoretical, balance it out.

Parents and children should have a voice in house school funds are spent.

Schools should be open and transparent about their spending.

I have an addiction.

A self-hosting addiction.

I can't explain it, but I get this unsurmountable urge to have a degree of control over my own data greater than anyone else.

Should I be concerned?

This.

Simple protocols win out because they're openly implemented. Such is the history of the internet.

Ok so nostr relay Idea is almost done. Its not WOT but a rep system that rewards human interaction and not bot like behavior (I hope).

Everyone starts out on neutral on the relay. Simply passing spam checks boosts rep. Interaction from others reactions, comments, zaps, boosts, all these boost rep, all are equally weighted. Valid nip-05 also boosts rep. Not having a nip-05 does nothing, but having an invalid Nip-05 slowly dings rep.

Spam like behavior also dings rep and can eventually get you kicked off the relay. To be fair, I'm also still trying to work out what is bot like behavior. I'm mostly taking this from the spam filter I made to block the replyguy shit on Freelay. I don't want to anylise the content of a note, not trying to dictate what can and can not be said, but id like to stop bots from annoying people.

One thing I did implement is a 1984 report will affect your rep and if enough people hit you with a report you can be nuked off the relay (im not 100% sure on this choice yet. I know it enables mob behavior or bots could mass report and nuke legit users so i might nuke this aspect or if someone has a better way to use this Im all ears). The idea behind this is so users of the relay could kick people that are posting "objectionable" content. I know that's subjective but for example if someone is posting a bunch of AI porn and if users of the relay don't want to see that they can effectively get it off the relay.

Relay has 2 databases "purgatory" where all notes get stored and looked at, this database is purged frequently. The second database is for trusted users and once you get to a certain trust level you get whitelisted and bypass purgatory. plus, a higher trust score gives you a higher rate limit and more time that your notes are stored.

I know people have a boner for WOT right now, so this idea might not be too popular, but this is my attempt at a more open relay system while still blocking spam. Not sure where it fits in the inbox/outbox model, but I'd like to see nostr remain open without the need of WOT, as IMO as WOT stands its mostly a bandaid for established users. I dont think WOT is bad.....just sloppy as it is right now.

I'm mostly posting this for feedback on the idea, so please rip it apart if you think it's dumb. I know a lot of human behavior can be gamed by someone good at making bots. I would take any advice here. Im still working out kinks. There is also part of my brain that is like "fuck a rep system" as I make this, so im trying to make it as fair and as open as I can.

A V4V Score System... Interesting.
