If you read the original conversation the challenge had nothing to do with it. Never denied any of the claims Super was making about Lightning or Monero.

I just don't think that you as the sender knowing the amount you're sending (duh) to the stealth address that you created (duh) is the dunk that some think it is.

In the real world, if an adversary (like the authorites) are undercover as a sender, they aren't going to care that technically the invoice doesn't show your public node. They're going to arrest you because you were the one who gave them the invoice/address they paid. At that point, using Monero/Lightning won't matter, the only thing that would protect you would be remaining anonymous from the start.

By the way, did you want to join the follow pack?

If anyone on this follow pack list wants to be removed (or added) just let me know.

Pretty sure I got it at least 98% correct though. 👨‍🔬

yo nostr:npub14a6q6xvt4wuv0wpdpfr336e4fweldtu6np3ehpw55h83xuw2h2zsgyz6rn – I don't own or use monero, you can remove me from the list.

It includes anyone who appreciates Monero (even if they don't use it themselves) and I've seen you say you think Monero is cool a few times before. Maybe I got the wrong impression. My bad if you didn't want to be on it. I'll remove you no problem.

No drug addict follow pack would be complete without Skipper

My list was for anyone that appreciates Monero. They both like or use Monero. They just think their own coin/L2 is better and that's fine.

Yes, Super Testnet corrected me on the MPP thing earlier.

Sure, I agree, but decoys only apply to the sender. Receivers are always the anon set of every Monero user since they are only ever seen once on the blockchain as a receiver (effectively ZK).

I think you're technically right about the accumulator thing now that I think about it...if you're the only one using the accumulator, and the rest are colluding adversaries, they would know when it's you. But once you have a handful of honest users you cant be picked out among them. So much better like you said.

Maybe you're right about the LN scanning. It always just felt to me that it took about the same time to sync Zeus compared to my Monero wallet. Maybe I use it more than the average user so don't usually have to wait long. But even so background sync basically eliminates this issue.

Not sure why you think the view keys thing is popular. None but maybe two wallets support giving your view keys up to a third party, they're not popular, and it is pretty frowned upon by the Monero community. I've never seen anyone recommend them. If you really wanted to eliminate sync times, without giving up your view keys to a third party, you could connect to your own LWS or, more realistic for most, simply use Cake and enable background sync. Huge UX upgrade.

I know this is probably not what you're saying, but for this case I just want to make it clear that I'm not adding random people to that follow pack. I'm adding people that I follow who are obviously Monero dudes, people who use it in addition to Bitcoin, or have shown appreciation for it many times in their history (even if they don't use it themselves). Some that I was unsure of I asked before I added. If I got anyone wrong, or they just don't want to be on it, I'll remove them if they just let me know. But I'm trying to be careful about it.

That's true. You can add anyone you want to a follow pack that you want.

Maybe there should be a confirmation from who you're adding? But generally that wouldn't stop anyone outside of this website. I'm pretty sure anyone can create a Nostr list with anyone they want.

Want me to add you to the list?

I don't think any are on Nostr afaik. They hang out on Matrix/IRC usually

https://www.getmonero.org/community/hangouts/

I follow and am familiar with most of them. Some I had to hit with the chad detector.

Yep, it's a nice little chunk of Nostr huh?

Made a Monero follow pack 👀

In no particular order. Let me know if I missed you (or want to be taken off). I tried keeping it to only accounts that are somewhat active on Nostr (within the last year).

Are you saying inflation alone necessarily determine what is more valuable or money? Of course. Not if you understand subjective theory of value.

"A single coin has fixed supply. There is a theory that the fixed supply of Bitcoin is the source of its value. As with Bitcoin, there is a fixed supply of the Mona Lisa, only one is possible. The theory implies that this is the source of value for the famed work of art. However there are countless unique works of art with no demand, and therefore no value. Bitcoin cannot increase in value only because of absolute scarcity. To the contrary, it necessarily becomes more scarce as it becomes more highly valued."
