Violinist and teacher, building a homestead on raw land in between lessons and concerts. Fascinated by how we can develop resilience in our lives, in our families, in our communities. I'm excited about freedom tech and circular economies, and am deeply grateful for the devs and advocates who are helping build tools for a better future.

oh!! I didn't know that one could use eggs.

I always wondered with the alum salts how one would dispose of them (safely), so I assumed brains were the only alternative.

I know that it takes time and work, but do you feel like you have a streamlined process?

yes, offline but I use Sparrow to interface with it.

I think I'm probably still confused about the wallet/address distinction. For instance, one could have multiple sparrow wallets, and within each wallet you can have different receiving addresses. Are all of those addresses within one wallet connected (in a way that's visible from the outside -in terms of analysis)?

These are SO cool!

When I was in full-scale OMG-the-world-is-about-to-end mode (covid red-pilled me hard pretty much overnight) I got several books on tanning hides. Seem like a very useful skill to have!

Thank you! Yes, Coldcard.

Sats are now one step removed from an exchange (exchange to hot wallet to CC) - so it's a different npub, but I assume still fully traceable to original KYC.

Once the UTXOs are mixed, if I put them back on that same wallet are they still traceable because of the wallet address?

#asknostr

If one were to take KYC sats out of a CC and coinjoin them, is there a way to use the same CC after the join with a new address/without doxing oneself?

(I think I'm probably still confused about wallets vs addresses.)

I was wondering if I'd see someone mention Illich on here! I grew up listening to his insights because my father was obsessed when I was little. The only book I've actually read, though, is Medical Nemesis. Written in 1976, and predicted almost perfectly what happened with Covid and more generally the cost of society outsourcing all decisions to "experts."

Hettinga I'm not familiar with. Will look him up.

My father just sent me the NYT piece on ETF approval.

It's amazing how much semi-true insinuation you can fit into an article when you use the words "bitcoin" and "crypto" interchangeably.

If any extra fiat goes into sats, you're not spending bitcoin that would have gone into savings (except perhaps anything you might lose in the exchange), and in the meantime your money is appreciating.

Right? what am I missing?

Reminder to those reading the replies: Nostr has a mute function.

Also, that article is appalling.

Harvard's bs work on nutrition has caused so much damage to generations, but I only recently realized what a mess the whole school was. Yikes.

Most of the fall and winter - even when it gets very cold at night - we have stretches of lovely sunshine and warmth in early afternoon, but at this time of year it doesn't warm up enough during the day for the shower water to even melt.

It's the season for what we affectionately call "whore baths."

Fiat is the only currency that is allowed to invest in climate destruction - duh.

I'm on now (12:45 -49). Environmental goals in Chile

And now the pros and cons of CBDC (in a way that sets up nostr:npub1g0587hzzckcncxfm78n0996qe2s58nspy29wf02tqcj5sdzcpj4q6j40hv US CBDC prediction perfectly ☹️)

Gahh - this is awful. Perfect combination of stupidity and arrogance How do people watch this shit?

In any case, no Jack yet: "Your event livestream will start shortly"
