Not sure whether it would be easier to add Amber's functionality to Bitwarden or add a Password manager to Amber. 🤣

It seems like this would be a natural pairing, though.

Is Bitwarden open source? Could it be formed to also work as a NIP-46 signer?

I guess I am confused. Logging into what? A client? Doesn't matter unless that client somehow has access to your private key for signing through that login.

As with most questions about Nostr, there is no single answer. Some relays are more aggressive at blocking spam than others. Some clients have tools for minimizing the amount of spam you see, and others don't so much.

If spam is a major concern for you, I would highly recommend checking out coracle.social

In the settings, you can adjust the minimum web-of-trust score a profile must have before you will see their notes. It eliminates virtually ALL spam from your feed, and makes the Global feed actually usable.

The downside is, you won't see any posts from new users, since they won't have any score yet, but that is an important part of how it blocks spam accounts.

It means your profile changes aren't getting propagated around the relays much from #Amethyst and another client, perhaps primal, is sending out a competing version of your profile that is overwriting the version on the relays Amethyst is posting it to.

Check your relay settings.

Why? The devs didn't add that function.

Indeed, Primal is the only client I know of that notifies you about follows.

It would be nice if #Amethyst had more controls regarding notifications. If enough users want something like that and let nostr:nprofile1qqsyvrp9u6p0mfur9dfdru3d853tx9mdjuhkphxuxgfwmryja7zsvhqpzamhxue69uhhv6t5daezumn0wd68yvfwvdhk6tcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcscpyug know about it, it just might get added.

I am not a major fan of recurring transactions that can pull from my balance without my conscious agreement each time, but I understand that a lot of folks really like that convenience.

I wonder if there would be a way to have a NIP-46 style signer for payment requests, so I could decide if I want to sign only a particular single request for payment, or I could tell it to approve all such requests from a particular source, and I could revoke that permission at any time.

@Fountain request:

The Nostr feed is awesome! So good for content discovery!

That said, since Fountain is already filtering the feed down to only show posts with podcast links and other audio, there really isn't a need to see reposts.

Love ya nostr:nprofile1qqsx8zd7vjg70d5na8ek3m8g3lx3ghc8cp5d9sdm4epy0wd4aape6vspzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsz9thwden5te0v4jx2m3wdehhxarj9ekxzmnyqyv8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddakk7um5wgh8q6twdvt4w07n but I don't need to see all 4 times you reposted your latest episode on #Fountain, whereas I might never see that post on #Amethyst UNLESS you repost it 4 times. 🤣

At minimum, it would be very welcome on Fountain to have the option to hide reposts.

Primal!

I've had issues with long load times for profiles on Primal as well.

Have not had that with Amethyst or several other web apps I use.
