You don't necessarily need to do this though a domain you control. There are a variety of services that offer NIP-05 addresses.
They are less useful for verifying identity than they are for giving friends a human readable way to look you up without using your npub.
And,of course, most clients will just display it as your handle...

Does that work?
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting over what they will have for dinner, so yes, I am not a fan.
The form we have here in the US, a representative republic with democratic elections, is probably the least bad form there can be, and certainly a better form of government than any other that has yet been tried.
None of that changes the fact that if someone decides not to pay taxes for shit they don't agree with, men with guns will eventually come and lock them up. That's not sharing. That's theft with an official veneer to make it acceptable to the masses.
People should have the opportunity to voluntarily opt to support the things they believe government should be doing, and opt out of supporting the things they don't want it doing. Put the onus on the government to convince the people that something is worth them sending in their hard-earned money.
In other words, it's only not theft if you affirmatively voted for the policy itself, or it was a policy that the politician ran on when they campaigned and you voted for them.
Otherwise, if you ddidn't bote for them or their policies, it is still involuntary seizure of your property and is therefore theft.
Even so, it's only not theft if those who didn't vote for the one who won the election can opt out of paying for the policies they enact.
For a single-sig setup? ColdCard.
My brother nostr:npub1dzrlhj48aycgfkny2mn7e6qkgme7w5xa53u75c30atkflrck6fuq7cdjyj and I are educators who will be teaching the nostr:npub17cyatz6z2dzcw6xehtcm9z45m76lde5smxdmyasvs00r4pqv863qrs4ml3 in the Pacific Northwest with PNWBTC! First cohort is is October!!! #Bitcoin only.
These are great guys! #Bitcoin only, and passionate about encouraging adoption of the hardest money known to man.
Sharing is voluntarily giving money or goods for something or someone you want to support.
Theft is involuntarily having your money or goods taken from you for something or someone you may or may not have voluntarily supported, if asked.
Which is taxation?
LND only right now. Not sure if nostr:nprofile1qqsyv47lazt9h6ycp2fsw270khje5egjgsrdkrupjg27u796g7f5k0spzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqgjwaehxw309ac82unsd3jhqct89ejhxqgnwaehxw309aex2mrp09skymr99ehhyecusqvd6 have any plans to make it work with CLN.
Interesting. I don't have that issue on shopstr, but I do on the plebian marketplace. It's trying to decrypt your DMs for you. If you have quite a few, it will spam the requests for each one you have ever received.
Shopstr.store
#Amethyst has it built in, as well.
Need more folks to post stuff to it.
MASSIVE thank you to everyone who showed my wife the magic of zaps!
Now I just need to get to get her following some folks to fill up her feed.
Heard about #layer3news on Rabbit Hole Recap. Very cool idea nostr:nprofile1qqsgvcg3sypuxrzmx72t5e56m0589pt5c0rhurvf5dl562ggnlp844cpzfmhxue69uhk7enxvd5xz6tw9ec82cspzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnfdenx7qgvwaehxw309a38yc3wd9hsp4ee2t, but for #Nostr sign-in, it should at minimum support NIP-07, and preferably NIP-46 as well. I don't just stick my nsec in every client that comes along with Nostr sign-in support.
It's a great idea. Needs to support logging in with a separate signing app, like Amber, so you aren't required to give the app your nsec, though.
For those who already side-loaded it, will we need to uninstall in order to properly update, or will it just update the service and keep our wallet setup when we install from the marketplace with a sideloaded version already installed?
You'll need to get it from the GitHub and side-load it onto your Start9, as it isn't available in the services marketplace yet.
Alby has a guide for this and I'll look for the link for you. What the guide does not mention is that you will need to have a GitHub account to download the package.
Alby Hub on Start9 requires you to be running LND, so it is not a standalone lightning node in this case. It will use your existing LND node's channels for liquidity.
As for why: Setting up and connecting wallets with separate (Alby Hub uses the term "isolated") balances is trivial, and so long as each wallet is connected to a separate Alby account, they will automatically have a lightning address.
It is hands-down the easiest way to be an Uncle Jim for your family.
Hello #Nostr. Wrote this note from the #Mastodon app, because Nostr eventually eats everything.
You bet! Ran into a few frustrating issues when getting mine set up and would be happy to help you avoid them.
If I remember correctly, nostr:nprofile1qqsx2wyjt6lmvc05rrvv05r5hm3w3t7h0pcpmkyswrpd4ymd2u09tscpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3kamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu339e682mnwv4k8xct5wvhxxmmdqywhwumn8ghj7mn0wd68yttsw43zuam9d3kx7unyv4ezumn9wscn3xgh may create an invoice that has to be pasted in the receiving wallet, but quite unintuitively, you have yo click "Send" and paste the invoice in the receiving wallet.
Anyone on #Primal who can help out?
I am guessing it is as simple as generating a receive invoice, but I haven't used Primal in a while.
