Illegitimate zaps aside, a public display of zaps is rendered meaningless anyway if it doesn't reliably include *all* legitimate zaps.
Translation: Democracies are a problem when The People are exposed to ideas other than what we, the powers-that-be, have given them.
If you *really* want to quit, it's because there's something about the experience you don't enjoy. When you're having cravings, you're only thinking about what's pleasurable Instead, try to focus on what you *don't* like about it.
Corruption, compromise, and conspiracies notwithstanding, I don't vote in recognition of my own ignorance. That is, particularly in local matters, I'm not paying enough attention. I figure casting a completely uniformed vote just injects noise - making it less likely that the voters who actually know the better path would end up winning. I do usually show up for a presidential election, though, just to vote 3rd party so as to provide some signal of displeasure in the 2 main parties; but even then, I'll just leave the other items blank.
Should I feel shame for not just making myself more informed on all the issues? Perhaps. But, my point is, i think we'd all be better off without the "Get Out and Vote (even if you know you're uninformed)" campaigns. I would much rather our cultural environment supported "Do Your Homework or Just Stay Home" campaigns.
It's really wild to see an ardent supporter of democratic socialist Bernie Sanders up until the 2020 primaries now pining for a heavily libertarian-leaning Thomas Massie presidency. It's not that Jimmy isn't still a 'lefty'. He just recognizes who is and who isn't willing to fight the uni-party beast.
Keep in mind, cashu tokens are IOUs of sats; not actual sats. It is inevitable that there will be (are?) cashu mints that issue more IOUs than the UTXOs they control to back them up. At least those 'mistakes' will be siloed to their respective mints.
Fair enough. However, none of that is inconsistent with the hypothesis I proposed. Absorbing fluoridated water through the skin via taking showers is still consuming less fluoride than if you are also drinking it.
Of course, it is *only* a hypothesis that *could* explain the results presented - at least directionally.
I'm wondering if this isn't just a case of more bottled water (i.e. less consumption of fluoridated tap water) and more educational resources being available to the more affluent.

All else being equal, over the long term, at a minimum Bitcoin ought to naturally pump at least the same rate as the fiat print. Anything more represents further adoption (much of it new adoption). Bitcoin is the life boats. The more people rushing to the life boats signals that the ship is closer to sinking. We know it's going to happen eventually, but, I'm not looking forward to it. It won't be pretty.
I think you're being generous. I mean, I think she did actually know better; but, that she was deliberately attempting to deceive the public (with the aid of an uncritical media).
If she really wanted to inform the public accurately in plain language she could have said something like "the much higher prices we are seeing aren't going away; but the good news is that eventually, they will getting even higher slower." The administration would have dumped her on the spot.
The "transitory" inflation claim never made any sense on its face. It necessarily implies an eventual reversal via deflation (not just disinflation). I never heard anyone trying to make the case that they genuinely expected that to happen.
Has anyone actually seen the 2 of you in the same place at the same time?
Hmmm... same here, and I didn't change anything, either.
Methinks nostr:npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac must have been his entryway. 😉
Results:
"Unnecessary consumers of time to eliminate:
1. Logging activity into time tracking app.
2. ..."
... or said another way: Since I've already pasted my nsec into a signing extension, mobile client, etc., I consider it to be de facto compromised anyway.
So it’s ok to enter my nsec here in the nostr:npub1v5ufyh4lkeslgxxcclg8f0hzazhaw7rsrhvfquxzm2fk64c72hps45n0v5 since there’s no key signing extension for mobile apps yet?
Or is there some magic I am as yet not privy to?
Consider creating a burner nsec/npub that you wouldn't mind eventually abandoning for such security risks... Heck, I don't even consider signing extensions secure enough long-term; so, until something better like an nsec bunker becomes the standard, I only use what I consider to be a burner nsec/npub.
