What's the best way to get into hvac? Got any podcasts you recommend on the topic?

I can see that. Especially if you don't have programmatic ads, and rather something more static.

Well, develop ad blindness and just don't see then ๐Ÿ˜…

Spot on. You don't own your destiny, if you owe 140% of GDP to someone else and you even gave up your own currency and money printer to Brussels.

Is the complementary ad model a complete tabu? Same as algorithms, I don't think it should be.

YouTube like client would be a great space for advertising other nostr projects and onboarding new nostriches.

What makes the ad-space trashy is either if you as a platform lean more into ad money vs ad quality (relevance); or malicious censorship (especially if you're a monopoly).

If you nurture your ad-space to be high quality first, highly curated links to complementary nostr services, it should work really well.

And if you start caving away from quality into being a sellout, nostriches will just stop sharing your links, and start sharing the competition's ones. Because, building a sustainable monopoly on nostr will be close to impossible.

You liked the conversation? ๐Ÿ‘€

Utterly failed to meet the hype to me.

Tucker pushed his script and went through the checklist of his questions without listening to and engaging with the answers. He was a poor partner for the conversation here. Especially if his point was to showcase to the Americans the dangers of the socialistic progression through welfare handouts to hyperinflationary collapse.

Closing out with the question put in doubt whether the police would protect Milei against rioters if he wins was weird. Reminded me of his question to Trump whether he things he would get assassinated.

Overall, ingenuine from both sides. I should have done something more productive than listening to it. ๐Ÿ˜

Forget about ETFs. When Tucker starts orange piling the disenfranchised with this much focus, clarity and urgency, that will get wild.

On the path to steal the long awaited internet-breaking bitcoin show from under (the sleepy) Joe Rogan's nose.

Looking from the outside, I think that traditionally it's been harder for a designer to get onboarded on the open source project than it is for a dev.

Good path might be in making it, and the understanding of the problems we're trying to solve more accessible.

Zaps vs Likes:

Can we evolve the design debate further?

Likes:

- Worthless

- But user can contextualize their meaning with different emoji reactions (๐Ÿ‘; ๐Ÿ‘Ž; ๐Ÿซ‚; ๐ŸŽฏ; ๐Ÿคก)

Zaps

- Carry value

- But lack context (the most context you create is by sending 69 or 420 sats)

Is there any client/design mockup which combines them into a single reaction? A zap with context message?

Yes, I believe it's illegal to provide this in the US without KYCing yourself with the provider.

It protects from the sender knowing your address at least.

It would be cool to have a temporary rental of these delivery boxes (Amazon boxes) style. As soon as the postman puts the package in one of the boxes, you get a notification with the unlock code.

But it's a silk road territory providing this as a service ๐Ÿค•
