Listened to #[0] and #[1] on Reason yesterday talk about nostr. The thing that stuck with me the most was JB just briefly mentioning that there might be an open market of feed curation algorithms some day.

This makes so much sense. Think about it: you can choose from different feed curation and recommendation algos. Try one after the other, see what you like best. Modify it. Use the one from your friend. You could even opt in to public spammer lists, like we do with ad blockers today!

The sheer availability of public nostr data will draw a lot of data science and ML-interested people in. When clients allow their users to change the algos, the algos will come.

Nah I’m actually interested. I disagree with his semantics, but the framing of #Bitcoin as a defensive power projection point of view is genuinely interesting from a game theory point of view.

My worry is how much jargon or “fancy math” dominates the book over more pragmatic language that’s actually entertaining to read. From what he says it might be a really technical book 😬

I just need to spend some time and do some reading.

Tomorrow is the last day of my one month long TIDAL trial. The music quality is great. The recommendations are great. However, I need a little more from my music provider.

I use Google Home devices to listen to my music, a lot. Home isn't support naively. You have to Cast your music. That was fine 7 years ago. I need my native support now. Android Auto works fairly well, though the TIDAL Android Auto app could use a few more features, such as being able to like songs. I couldn't figure out how to do that. I don't think you can?

If I had better headphones or desktop speakers and if I only listened to music as my desk, then TIDAL would be for me.
