How many coffees per day does Nostr drink? Curious where I sit on the spectrum.

For me it's three americanos. Double shot in each from a fairly budget spec B2C machine. One at 5am, one at 10am and one after lunch.

2 cups either aeropress or v60... Typically after working out in the morning so 8-9am then second around 11am.

Everybody hopes for some simple trick that will make all their problems go away. Avoiding gluten, avoiding blue light, keto, etc, etc. Most of these interventions have no effect on most people.

And even a major intervention like a CPAP machine isn't curing my daytime sleepiness!

When I think back over my life, only twice was there a simple fix for something:

1) losec cured (or at least put into longterm remission) my many-year-long perma-heartburn (it probably worsened my IBS though)

2) athletic tape cured my longterm plantar fasciitis. Yes, $4 of tape beats $400 orthotics every day of the week.

So it is possible for "one simple trick" to work, but these are rare things.

But if you have a story of a simple thing that made a world of difference in a longterm way, please share.

Good consistent sleep and regular exercise.

2 very simple and easy things to do which pay massive dividends over the long run. Yet they are also easy not to do... In favour of other trendy "tricks" or "hacks".

Actually, there is more CPU mining then asics on testnet4, they just fake the block time to get the lowest difficulty. Look at this (mostly difficulty 1 blocks):

Oh I just enjoy all the tools and checking weather, radars etc... Nothing specific, it's just my main weather app.

Nostr Safebox Update

Not yet ready for prime time, but I am a making super progress.

Nostr safebox is a proof of concept to test whether a ‘wallet’ can exist ‘out there’ in the nostr network (encrypted data on redundant relays). So far it is progressing better than expected, I can:

1. Receive a lightning invoice and ‘deposit’ funds as Cashu tokens.

2. Make a payment to a lightning address using those tokens.

3. Receive a Cashu token from another mint, swap funds to home mint.

4. Store and retrieve private encrypted information.

A few next steps,

1. Support holding tokens from multiple mints (right now swapping to a single home mint).

2. Accepting tokens with nostr DMs

3. Continued testing across relays (a relay out of China is my fave to test so far.

4. Continued development, with the goal of replacing the backend component of my Lightning address payment system to remove dependency on a custodial wallet database.

5. Documentation of the functionality so it can be implemented in other languages (currently Python)
