“The Guy who has read more about Bitcoin than anyone else you know.” Adjectives: Smart/Sexy Host of Bitcoin Audible 🎧

Years ago, I reached out to a much larger account than mine to share/enquire about an idea. I rambled a bit in my explanation (*gasp!* I know). He came back with roughly:

"Dude, you gotta figure out how to get to the point faster. I don't have time for this."

Now, while i had rambled, it wasn't THAT bad. But i remember really wanting to get defensive and feeling a bit gutted by the response. I had a lot of respect for them.

However, I did stop and think about his perspective. Probably getting an avalanche of DMs, has no idea who i am, busy with 100 other things.

I felt stupid and *wanted* to be angry at him, but i also could see it.

That has stuck with me to this day, and every time I'm writing something, I stop and think "how many of these sentences are really necessary?"

While i still tend to over explain, I've actually been way more conscious about it (and also less insecure when i do ramble 😆). I actually think about the interaction fondly now. It was actually really helpful.

Lesson:

Be frank with people. Staying comfortable and unchallenged only makes you stagnant.

(i deeply feel the irony of a long post about explaining too much, lol... i cut like 3 paragraphs out of this)

I just finished this and it's nothing I didn't expect having already done a few deep dives on this... but it is also shocking just HOW bad it all really is laid out in full.

There is literally not a single piece of solid science to defend the statement that "vaccines are perfectly safe." And a ton of growing evidence to suggest the exact opposite, that our chronic disease epidemic might have a clear and intuitively obvious culprit.

Not one. Everyone who repeats it is repeating a myth.

The fact that many people accept it as true, certainly doesn't make it so.

I'm sharing this story with permission.

55-year-old male (eats mainly fatty meat, eggs and dairy - yes, if you know anything about the carnivore diet, you will know this is a very healthy way of eating) gets a medical done for work. Comes back very high cholesterol. His doctor wanted to put him on statins. His work needed sign-off from his doctor to continue to work. He knew his doctor wouldn't sign off on this!

Now, if you have read The Great Cholesterol Myth by Bowden and Sinatra, you would know that you need to work out the triglyceride to HDL ratio. If that is under 2, then you have nothing to worry about. Note that both measurements have to be in mg/dL (use this here omnicalculator.com/health/cholest…), and then trigs divided by HDL gives you the ratio! His works out to 2.25. Perhaps a little high, possibly due to him having spent the previous week eating a fair amount of carbs (way more than usual due to travelling).

I encouraged him to go see a low-carb doctor, as generally, they are clued up about cholesterol. He found one, who himself used the same ratio and said he was low risk, but said the only way to get his work off his back was to go for a coronary artery calcium (CAC) scan.

Well, guess what his CAC score was. Zero! And his original (idiot) doctor wanted to put him on statins!

By the way, yes statins lower cholesterol, but low cholesterol does not mean low risk!

For those who think he is still at risk because of high LDL, see here tctmd.com/news/zero-cac-…

I highly recommend reading The Great Cholesterol Myth if you haven't already. You will find a link on my website (link in bio).

Our medical establishment is a combination of authoritatively ignorant, deeply arrogant, and profoundly corrupt.

I don't think you realize how important it actually is to record stuff like this while it's happening. a devastating event with video will get 100x the support and attention as a devastating event without it.

Then in the same vein when it comes to something with cops, or other people, video is crucial to be able to make sense of what happened. Witness reports are horribly unreliable, especially when its an incredibly stressful situation which is almost necessarily the case.

People like to shit on the whole "at least they got it on video" thing, but if you ever find yourself in a crazy situation I promise you are going to wish you had video... not to mention they were probably in there for a while before realizing there was no chance it would make it. I mean what are they gonna do watch TV?

We never buy “normal” baby food or products of any kind. This is a big part of the reason. A simple investigation of how horrific these companies quality standards and how the EPA literally does whatever they want would sober you up real fast.

The food and healthcare industries in this country are not our friends.

I don’t have any more at the moment. Only made two small batches. I intend to have them up on the website at some point though, just lots of work on the wire still to do. But things have been moving forward.

Of course real money looks like a scam when you grew up your whole life in a scam that you believed was real money.

It’s the most annoying of annoying first world problems 🤣

Looking for a dev in 2025 who can work with Lightning, Nostr, and JS. Mostly just integration with existing tools, not modifying or building a custom client or anything.

If interested, DM me.

I will 100% subscribe to the “Gruff Daniel Radcliffe Fixes Shit” channel 🤣

There is a version that’s completely free. But there is premium that gets better rewards. $10 a month for premium

This is the #1 way that I use to stack a lot of extra, EASY bitcoin.

I'm not even *buying* it.

~$8,000 worth in 1.5 years... not a joke.

People really dismiss this combo, but it makes a huge difference if you use them consistently. 👇

Every “Great Leap Forward” in progress or personal success is an illusion, it’s simply the eventual reveal of thousands of tiny steps forward.

Just take a tiny step today,

and another tomorrow,

and another the day after that.

You may not see the progress at first, but it will eventually be the footing on which that great leap shows itself to you.

Some mental frames for the coming year:

• Stay the course.

• Commit yourself to the “why,” but not the “how.”

• Don’t worry about the size of your progress, only about making a little progress every day.

I actually think it’s a total nothing burger, because it was obviously optional anyway.

They basically conceded nothing to get a loan and then literally bought 10x the #Bitcoin they usually do after the deal was basically agreed 😆

Seems like BOLT12 should’ve been the standard already… why are we still having to do hacks to get things we can do natively with BOLT12? (as I understand it) 🤔

Oh that’s fancy! 😆

Rewards were higher in the past, but the card issuers were getting wind of what was happening and tried to close the gap. I was doing a PayPal trick for a while with bills that was awesome.

That said I think people complain too much and always compare it to a credit card. This is a **debit** card so you can use it in tandem, and some ACH will now pay rewards too. The spins have stopped being a thing mostly except for promotional stuff.

Since the beginning and to this day though, the sats back on gift cards is the best part. The 0.5% (with boosts ever so often) on the normal card is just icing. I’ve never had it not more than pay for itself, if you use it as your main card you can seriously stack sats with it.

Thats just my experience though.

Btw, my Fold rewards were the savings that kicked off PearDrive, and were now at the final stages of bringing it to life, and I’m so jazzed!🔥

Gotta shout out that just using their debit and stacking on giftcards literally helped to realize what I hope to be a really awesome, P2P, open source project. 🤞🏻🫡

Stay tuned, closer by the hour at this point. nostr:note16lc6tf57tvztlry3ucthpyft5pwtq3rt5l30fm3m85tf6wglwhts9vn2g9

You are repeating rhetoric from the church, not practical virtues. All those amount to is “stop listening to your conscience and do what you are told by your ruler.” That, imo, is not at all how to live in alignment with God. It certainly wasn’t the example that Jesus provided.

Negative. Living in alignment with God is not about obedience. If your church taught you this, I would suggest getting a different church.

Meanwhile on twitter, capitulation is still a slow, stubborn, and painful process...
