“The Guy who has read more about Bitcoin than anyone else you know.” Adjectives: Smart/Sexy Host of Bitcoin Audible 🎧

1PH dominated by like 4 pools (pretending to be 6) is a concern. 1PH with individual miners constructing blocks themselves, that doesn’t worry me.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking simple scale will protect a highly vulnerable structure.

I didn’t say “Monero is dying.”

Can you point to anything in my post that is at all inaccurate?

Knots actually doesn’t have anything to do with DATUM technically aside from that the same people providing and promoting knots have built DATUM. Knots is full node software, DATUM is a mining pool protocol.

So related, but also very different and independent projects. You can run DATUM just as easily on core with all JPEG and inscription invitations.

So #Monero is being persistently 51% attacked right now by paying miners who merge mine a shitcoin token and reorging all of the blocks produced by the rest of the network. And miners are staying because they are making like 300% what the other miners are making do to the shitcoin. Looks like they’ve had a few 6 block reorgs and it’s still just rolling like this. 🤯😬

Yeah you’re referring to common law courts which actually did incredibly well in establishing stability in the “wild” west, which was anything but. He has some really good writing on that. Also I agree with most of your points.

(Fun fact, the entire era referred to as “the Wild West” and the entire western part of the country saw fewer bank robberies than modern Chicago sees in a single year 😆)

And if they did, they'd probably ask me how much bitcoin I have on it, and I'd truthfully say "none," because hardware wallets don't store bitcoin. 😄

Well, I'm not at all worried about it and would generally disagree anyway. Literally every "exploit" or "weakness" i've read about over the years for almost all major hardware devices (ignoring the literal trash) are such specific situations or conditions that it feels pointless to argue, imo. but I'm not that invested in the nuance here anyway and its why i use multisig, so i don't have to care that much.

My model 1 is my oldest device and i still use it for multisig because the thing refuses to stop working. I don't haven't even updated it in like 8 years, lol. There's nothing wrong with the Mk4 and the security model also isn't 100% dependent on the SEs, keys are based on a handshake between 3 segregated parts of the device.

Turkey was never really a bastion of freedom, but holy shit this is insane. For a paper? Seriously?

You have exactly zero idea how i use these or what level of entropy the pins that creates the keys have if you are referring to the tapsigners. They are a perfect trade off for mobile wallets to avoid ever having keys on your device for general use balances.

Hey i love 8bit video games, but I dont want my fucking stove to sound like one 🤣

GUY SWANN SHARES A PHOTO OF HIS TRAVEL SAFE! 🔥

BEST OF ALL, HE’S NOT STUPID ENOUGH KEEP MONEY IN A CREDIT TOKEN THAT SOMEBODY ELSE WILL PRINT 3 TRILLION MORE OF THIS YEAR.

(did you know twitter throttles your post if you use the word "stupid"? 🤦‍♂️ )

Why do new appliances all sound like old annoying 8 bit video games? I set the temperature on the oven and it does a little jingle like I just got a mushroom in Super Mario Brothers.

This is such a dumb and pointlessly bothersome “tech” trend.

Forwarding strings run by an overwhelming majority of the propagating network have a substantial difference on what gets into blocks and add a reasonable marginal cost. This is why like 99.9% of OP_RETURNs over the past decade have adhered to the network forwarding settings… because they work.

None of this suggests you can’t get around them. You can get around a fence, you can run a hash cash stamp and still send spam emails, you can get around all sorts of “filters” that are used at this layer of operation in any network or environment we could use as an example. Almost by their nature barriers are usually just a matter of cost.

But a small barrier that lets honest transactions through, and that would catch the majority of spam, allowing normal activity to deal with X in costs, while spam has to deal with X + 20% (or whatever) in time, alternative software, fees, whatever, then that’s a proper and meaningful balance to disincentivize the activity. And we have a very long period of bitcoin history to show this very thing, and that simply continuing to make small

Adjustments to ongoing spam evolution will continue to diminish its impact.

Save as much as you can and save in #Bitcoin. It’s that simple.

It started happening around year 12 and I’ve tried to see someone over it but the doctors insist that I must have always been orange or that the change is just my imagination. Thank you so much for noticing, I really feel alone and have nobody to speak to about this. 😞🧡

Omg, even my heart emoji looks orange, WHAT IS GOING ON!? 😫

Ain’t no such thing 😆

Oh ok that’s better, lol. I thought you’d been a long time LTC holder or something and I was feeling bad for you

I would love to see hard data on how many accounts out there are pure rage bots. Just Ai accounts whose sole purpose is to make a bad point and then insult you or make a ridiculous generalization to get engagement and attention. 🤔😆

As society becomes more productive and technologically advanced, money is *supposed* to grow in value.

This is literally the mechanism by which the fruits of all our labor are shared. By all the things we need and want becoming more affordable.

If everything is getting more expensive while technology is advancing, someone is stealing from you.
