I always talk about nostr. Haven't encountered any hostility, just indifference. They just don't think it's big enough.
Hate is what initially drove me to become a libertarian. Then I realized that the real societal issues were caused by government.
nostr reminds me of the early facebook days when your family, friends or neighbors weren't on it and you just added & intereacted with strangers.
The conversations were great because bots and spammers hadn't arrived yet. You actually had organic interactions with real people that lasted a long time on facebook until they started cracking down and censoring people and removing fun features.
Facebook was amazing in the early days.
