Been curious myself.. I think that the stock2flow model is broken.. but given that it may have had a severe handicap I'm the form of paper btc last round and wondering what it would look like of those were accounted for.
There are 3 levels of possible moderation - the relays you select are hosting your posts. If you did something such that they no longer wanted to host your content, they can delete it. You can self host your content if you like (slightly harder than running a bitcoin node).
Your client - damus, amethyst, nostrgram, plebstr, whatever you are using, collects content from the relays you use and presents it to you. A client could implement a filter on content (but I don't think any have yet).
You can filter content for yourself by muting or following. If you mute content in a particular client, then that client will not show you posts from that person anymore. There is no assurance that that will happen - but clients shouldn't have any reason to violate your wishes.
Nostr doesn't host images, so every post thay shows an image links you to another server. If I wanted to capture a bunch of people's ip addresses I could self host an image, include that image in a post, and then capture the ip address of the people that look at it (when they query it from my server).
To add: since nostr doesn't host media, if someone posts a picture they are self hosting, they can get your ip address when you load the picture, a VPN is recommended.

NOSTR is excellent at being a decentralized / censorship resistant way to broadcast information.
NOSTR is quite unprivate, and what you broadcast is permanent (no take-backs).
DMs are private as long as both parties private keys are secure, however everyone can see who has been talking to who.

Don't be too quick to draw unwarranted conclusions.. 2 points to make.
Vaccine cards and other things like this were / are a reality... a consumer facing app that helps them manage those is not exactly supporting them, it's giving people who are stuck with them a tool to manage what has been forced on them. I don't know the full extent of the app so I can't say for sure that this applies.
As a young man I believed many lies.. I joined the navy and had a job very similar to Edward Snowden. People can have their worldviews altered and should be given space to do so.
He will have paid 1 million actual dollars for it since he escrowed the usdc today. If he didn't have to escrow now, then yes he could have upside from usdc collapse.
I don't believe that the bet is #btc will be worth 1 million usdc, I think the bet is on the true dollar denominated value... and since he's locking the isdc in escrow today he's spending $1M on it even if it goes to 0.. the usdc downside isn't his gain, it's the other parties loss.
Either way, I don't believe he really expects to win this bet money wise. He wants engagement.. question is what does he intend to do with the engagement, and why is that worth $1M.
He's buying engagement... bet is only downside for him.
He will give $1M usdc to an escrow party, person who takes the bet will give 1 btc today ($27K value). In 90 days.. if btc is over $1M then he will get the usdc and the btc (now worth $1M so it satisfies the bet payment) if it's not worth $1MM the other party will get the btc back with $1M.
Whoever gets to take that bet is one lucky mofo.
