if you are planning to run a public relay:
1. it supports running multiple instances of immortal which are in sync with each other. by running them on multiple regions you can scale it easily.
2. all instances are managable through a manager service.
3. we are developing media servers, nip-05 servers and more which are managable using the same management service and you are able to host multiple instances of them as well.
they are compatible.
in next versions we would have ui panel, better ready to go configurations, and metric + statistics system which allows to monitor your relay easily. also, search nip is wip.

i like using bitcoin block numbers as dates. so, if something is older than bitcoin i have to say before genesis?
my birthday is 36720 bg.
going to calculate more dates based on bitcoin.
if you are ok for an update and you are planning to run your relay as a public relay, consider checking immortal:
nice, waiting for it.
thanks a lot. merged. which relay address you used for test? i tried some public relays, they are not work well. even their nip-11 is not complete.
yes, i didn't merged it yet. nip-11 works well. after fetching events ill merge it.
here is the code:
https://github.com/dezh-tech/mangostr/pull/12/files
in src/lib/components/latestnotes.svelte im trying to fetch some events. im not sure if this is the correct/recomeneded way. but it doesn't work...
its changing so fast. i feel im losing.
also, i can see your are using svelte on nostr watch. can you help me on some small bugs?
im trying to get a list of notes from a relay and show them on a component using nostr-tools. but it doesn't work in any ways.
i can share the code as well.
oppsss, our nginx is down. ill fix it tonight. 🫡
My first intro to it was a nostr signer device. It can work as a very cheap display and controller for my BitAxe miner, you can flash nostr:nprofile1qqsfy229w70e8lgtxavlz9t78k06yrel6fxyhreteafqet8kfxhhwmg2c6av2 Jade's firmware to it and use it as a hardware wallet.
for using as a general tool to make these stuff your self, you are using a right thing. but for specific hardwares like for example a nsd but for commercial use better choice is to design custom hardware. im not a hardware specialist, but this is what i know.
few months ago we were seeking to develop new nsds, but this was our challenge.
feeling the same.
better question why is https://nostrapps.com controlled by a single point of failure??
this doesn’t seem very decentralized
it’s literally the go-to for finding apps in our ecosystem nostr:note16w3stvwm0qzmkczmjaa4r8eqt2sy4rssugah7p84vz5ln5t3nu2q3flsk2
i can't see if nostr app is mentioned that its a decentralized website. its showing a list of apps on nostr. that's it.
got it. thanks. i was trying to add jellyfish and i saw it doesn't support it. now i found that this is due some bugs in req messages in Immortal current version.
seems interesting. can we use it to proof count messages results? nip-46 i think(?).
i can understand zk. but how we are going to use them on nostr?
what is this used for?
no, i checked those files. i can drive a keypair from a seckey. but i can't generate a seckey. based on what i saw.
how can i generate a secp256k1 seckey in c to be used in libsecp256k1?

#asknostr #c
