A new NostR friend (I use old man FB lingo I find it super edgy) told me about coffee today, what is your favorite coffee ? My personal fav is a fully organic Blue Mountain I get straight from the producer in Jamaica , everything about it is sexy: the smell, the aspect, its perfect roast. There’s a lot of medium Blue Mountain on the shelves selling over the label hype but this one is just 🤤🤤🤤 it has this delicate chocolate second mouth (not sure you say second mouth in English that’s a literal translation from my native tongue) and a very very subtle sort of citrusy fond de bouche (this I don’t even bother try to translate) , in a single word: delicious. Less acid than an Ethiopian and a tad bit less strong too but so good.

I did not make a lot of progress (in reality I made none) on the radio dev this week BUT I did on one of my sidequests : a simple webapp to share images without uploading any file anywhere that works offline and that doesn’t use any type of link.

Basically a secure offline image sharing thing that uses cryptography and steganography 🩵

I think both go hand in hand , like you need to destroy a bit of social tissue , a bit of privacy , a bit of comfort , a bit of economics then you have everyone shitting their pants hoping to keep whatever remains of each of those and fully under control

There were similar dynamics before the two previous wars and they were tied to the same principles: the birth of the cheap daily press led to massive biased /fake narratives b4 ww2, economical crisis and unemployment, random scapegoats etc… it’s a pattern . The technical infrastructure has evolved but the end goal and the patterns are quite similar

The only major downside to invidious is for some reason it won’t play all the copyrighted videos (official music vids from major labels, vevo , etc..) but apart from that it works like a charm 😌

Using Freetube or Invidious instead of YT official solved the Shorts problem once for good for me , amongst the other privacy issues and algorithmic jail 😅

I like the revolt concept and they did a great job at recreating the basic discord UI and functionalities but the fact the devs have worked on implementing pronouns before E2EE and db encryption is meh.

Once I get that sorted I would like to have the live shows autoposted on NostR but we re not there yet.

I just have some fallback issues to solve then the main component will be done.

Now I need to find a way to create and destroy credentials before and after live shows to avoid having permanent credentials for the different shows, like you receive your temp credentials an hour before your show and it gets f’ed 10mn after the show.

This might sound easy to you lot wizard devs but I’m supposed to be just a music producer 🤷‍♂️😬
