Hello Nostr! My name is Isaac. I work for Bitcoin to earn bitcoin. Feel free to ask mining / self custody related questions and I'll do my best to respond asap. ๐ŸคŽ

Thinking back on 2025

Probably one of the worst years I've had

Scratch that

It was, by far, the worst year of my life

*Covid was bad but it ended up being a blessing in disguise

However, this year gave me the opportunity to practice skills that will serve me well for the rest of my time here on earth - stoicism, gratitude, and discipline

I've also been thinking about how lucky I am to do what I do every day

I'm not sure how many other Bitcoin channels are 100% value for value - you could probably count them on one hand

And it's pretty fuckin cool that I'm in that company

I still have some adsense money from YouTube but it barely covers my internet bill each month. Fuck YouTube

I believe integrity is the greatest asset one can hold in life - far better than Bitcoin

And taking the V4V route allows me to speak the truth I believe in without any outside influence

Side note: I will be doing a V4V promotional segment every morning on show featuring Bitcoin/Nostr businesses starting next week!

This is a win-win-win in my eyes. Let me explain:

WIN 1 - the Bitcoin/Nostr businesses that can promote their product or service without an upfront payment (or any payment at all)

*it will be 100% success-based

WIN 2 - the community can discover new products and services being made in a low time preference world

In addition, they will be able to grow their own network and move further away from the fiat banking system

WIN 3 - I'm able to maintain my own voice without reliance on sponsors

Win-win-win is best case Ontario

Anyways, the reason for this post.

A very big thank you to the most consistent supporters of 88 SATS and nostr:nprofile1qqsgjuekk465vze6c8ps0vdejmvj3fd8tzcqg60kfp20qjk2p9p368gpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qy2hwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnwdaehgu3wvfnj7qg4waehxw309ahx7um5wghx77r5wghxgetk9u6uarks

I'm sorry to hear that you've had such a rough year, Jor. I appreciate you and what you bring to our community. Sending love๐ŸคŽ

This soft fork orphans any new csam-containing block that gets mined by having miners hash on the previous "clean" block. This effectively bypasses the csam block by creating a longer chain of clean blocks and leaving the csam block (as well as the miners revenue) orphaned and forever discarded by node consensus.

This will signal to miners that allowing csam-containing transactions in their mempool will corrupt their changes of having other miners on the network accept and mine on their block.

Personally, I'm most interested in the revenue per p/hash per day metric. I vibe coded (lol don't hate) a website that calculates the breakeven efficiency in j/th needed for a miner to be at breakeven efficiency given the current revenue per day as well as the users cost of electricity.

I couldn't find a way to input data in the backend so I simply had the user input the data to get the calculation. It would be great to have this data input automatically via an API. If you're interested in visiting the calculator it's: www.wattsworth.it

I think it would generally be a good resource for the community to have API access to the data on the dashboard but I understand it takes time and resources to make it possible. Thanks for all you do ๐Ÿ™

I wish there was API integration for the dashboard. Personally, I don't find value in a bot that posts something I can find elsewhere on a as-needed basis. My 2 sats.

So we need to have the government fine the news orgs when they go against the government's definition of "truth?" Sounds like a quick and direct way to legalize the government suppressing freedom of speech. ๐Ÿค”

Could Strike please make a 'secured credit card' where the account is funded upfront with BTC? On paper it would be exactly like the existing BTC lending service but the user/business gets a visa card to spend fiat. Businesses on the Bitcoin standard would really go wild with this one, imho.

Just thought of this and realized no one is doing this yet.

Thanks,

-laughpad

I think it would be hilarious to talk with one of these protestors about this. I can't imagine protesting such an insignificant thing when there's plenty of other things to be upset about. Of all the things to get upsetti spaghetti about, they pick the Blue Angels? LOL

Global M2 supply is experiencing a small pull-back which could spell a local top for Bitcoin in September if the trend continues downward.

In my opinion, trading Bitcoin is extremely risky. With that said, I will likely begin de-leveraging my positions in late August through late September if we continue to observe global M2 pull back.

If M2 resumes the uptrend then I will continue my DCA as normal.

THIS IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE.

๐Ÿšจ TODAY is a new ALL TIME HIGH for the global M2 money supply!

Bitcoin follows by usually 90-110 days.

Consider this your last call to get bitcoin below $130k.

๐Ÿ’บ BUCKLE UP BOYS AND GIRLS! This isn't a train, it's a fucking rocket ship and the engines are lit. ๐Ÿš€

The world's most decentralized currency has a secret: it's actually centralized deep inside Earth's core.

Here's why: Picture 3 Bitcoin miners in a straight line, each with identical hashrate. The middle miner will always slightly outperform the others.

When the left miner finds a block, middle hears it first. When the right miner finds a block, middle hears it first. Middle miner is never last to knowโ€”they're at the "center of hashrate" and waste less time mining already-solved blocks.

Scale this globally across thousands of miners, and the optimal position becomes a mathematical point somewhere beneath our feet, protected by miles of molten rock.

Bitcoin's center of hash isn't in a data center or countryโ€”it's literally at the center of the Earth. โšก
