Anyone close to the matter that could share some more insight?

A law like this will kill the open source world very quickly. It is one thing to work for free, it is another thing if that free work can get you in trouble.
I don't know if there are any #Afrikaans people on here yet, maar as julle hier is: Ek het 'n streaming platform ontdek met Afrikaanse inhoud: https://strooming.jouafrikaans.co.za/
My gunsteling kindertyd programme, soos Brakkanjan en Heidi, is ook daar beskikbaar.
The necessary consequence of freedom (in the sense of permissiveness) is that both good and bad behaviour will be treated equally. This is why God instituted a government (as per Romans 13) to persecute unjust actions.
Nostr on the other hand is ungoverned and permissive by design. It has been designed that way because those who were in control of of the centralised systems were unjust themselves. The tradeoff is that we have to deal with unjust content, as there is now no one moderating content by any standard of justness. There is no government on Nostr.
We Christians need to learn how to navigate and Nostr for the growth of our sanctification, and the spread of the gospel. If you are Postmillenial, you know that Nostr will become a better place as the gospel spreads...
What you did right now, is exactly what we need to keep doing. Preach the standard my brother.
Those politicians are the sheep, not the sheperds. This is not what strong leadership looks like.
Here is an excellent Christian take on the whole climate debacle. Worth a read!
My thoughts on climate change and surrounding activities are well expressed by this article: https://thebreakthrough.org/journal/climate-change-banned-words/science-climate-change
Thanks for sharing.
I did a talk at my church's men's group last week, where I discussed science along a similar vein. I went a little further by demonstrating that science has become a god, especially when people start using terms like "the science says." In that way they are ascribing one of God's attributes to science, which is a human creation. Christians must acknowledge God as the omniscient arbiter of truth, we should never let science fulfill that role.
My talk started a heated debate. Especially among the older men at church, many of who formed their opinions back before all this woke nonsense started. It was good to get these guys to rethink these issues.
Anyway, I was asked to also convert the talk into an article, which can be published in the church magazine, which will have an even wider reach. That's really cool. I will link the article you shared in the one I end up sending to the editor, it is excellent further reading. Along with this: https://creation.com/climate-change
"The church today needs Paul's confidence and focus. We are too easily tempted to look for merely external solutions to the pervasive problem of sin, as if more laws or better public policies could produce righteousness in the human heart.
Paul’s diagnosis of the last days not only helps us grasp the depths of societal depravity, but it also reminds us that only the gospel can regenerate the human heart and cause a sinner to live for the glory of God."

I do the same thing when I'm supposedly doing yard work
I think hookup culture is an artificial replacement for the real thing. Where the real thing is a happy monogamous marriage with deep emotional connection, regular sex, and lots of kids.
Parenting takes self-denial to a whole new level
In my opinion, this is the best Christian metal track to ever be recorded:

I have two under four. Raising kids in a single-breadwinner family so mom can be there for the kids.
Would love to chat about the Christian faith/theology any time.
Yeah, I wanted to send a test zap from Amethyst, so I chose this post. Which better post to test zapping on.
Talking is thinking
Writing is proposing
Coding is implementing
