I am not sure. These rev-share models lead to bad incentives. Clients should not put themselves between creators and their audience. I prefer that people pay for the client directly.

It was just a thought I had while talking with a friend earlier. Not really fleshed out 😂 As I think about it more I think it pertains more to the pursuit of truth than to “truth” itself. Society has placed comfort and perceived safety over all else. We (the connective we) can’t have discussion and debate without encountering the impassioned overreactions of people who demand that you must either be for them and accept their ideology, or be against them and become their enemy.

over 6 years ago.. kids no longer want to be firemen, policemen, astronauts, video game makers, chef, etc. anything involving work is out, anything based on attention whoring is in.

Funny, because attention is about to drop offline en masse.

Distributing great content is irrelevant when great content is generated at home on demand.

2024 might be peak internet.

And I know that sounds absurd, but Netflix is freefalling into obsolescence.

Yeah I have considered the access to information. But I think that information isn't neutral and people are more attached to media and less attached to those in their community and that's overall bad.

Individuals have been doing it to themselves forever. Society at large should prioritise truth so that people have some solid foundation, live in reality and prosper for it. I haven't been around long, but I've been here long enough to notice society trending ever more to pursuing short-term emotions and ignoring truth.

The people seem to fall for it harder these days 🤷🏽‍♀️

On an individual level maybe, but at the societal level?

Society today makes truth a prisoner of emotion.
