That put it all together. It's just there so you can have zaps really, and just a $1 IAP, not a way a person would be getting large amounts. I jumped to conclusions about the feature without looking into it.

You are right. We get the npub and push sats to their wallet. It is still in experimental phase. There is no exchange rate. We fixed it to 2100 sats for now. Still in experimental phase.. Will see how it evolves over time.

Thanks for reporting this and sorry for your inconiencence in losing following list. This issue has been reported and happens when we are not able to connect to one or more paid relays. Do you happen to connect to paid relays?
