Ahh gotcha. Yes we have seen a few places similar to this. It makes sense. We notice it a little here in DR. Like I could spend this much for a nice house in a developed country, kind of doesn't add up really. I think a lot of times it is (sadly) foreigners coming to these poorer countries buying up real estate and marketing to home countries driving up the prices quickly and never really benefiting the people of the land :(

And as for the lifestyle, yes, we were already homeschooling towards unschooling since my older two were 7 & 8, almost 9 years total now. Kids are aged from 2-17. personally we found the younger ages easier, the teens told us last year they wanted a base. We went to NZ, set up a base and three months later everyone wanted to travel again πŸ˜‚

It's harder to find families travelling with older kids, this has been our biggest challenge. Families with younger children tend to be everywhere... And then my teens seem to be a bit resistant/ reluctant to go out and meet new people. Mine are introverts πŸ˜…

But yep, our whole family just prefers the life of travel. Now we are just figuring out how to travel with a few good friends so kids can keep hanging out with their mates πŸ’―πŸ€©

I know someone. Literally bought a woman from Russia. Does not want her to work or have friends. Or a social life. Just be a mum. He was born in the 50s. I feel sorry for her. But she appreciates her new life in a better country and has been a wonderful wife. So

can't really judge. Makes for a great story... πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

I think I was travelling or on the cruise when I was tagged in this opps.

We moved to a cheaper location in Aussie before we started worldschooling. Home cooked food, visit free parks, nature, beaches, find cheap or free places for sports activities.

To save money and worldschool, travel slowly, stick to one region for as long as possible, choose less expensive areas. Negotiate housing with airbnbs, look for local housing pages, consider house and pet sitting if that works for you. ☺️

She brought it to me and said, you want to eat it πŸ˜πŸ˜…πŸ€£

Ah, darling Melissa. Yes. I sit (on a break), in silence in my room that I am deep cleaning (blinds, baseboards, dusting, etc), and I give thanks for the silence, peace, freedom, motivation, my health and that of nostr:npub1uense4apn73tvh4u20tzlp6u72g4kdustzsm0k0sqy6yuwh5jxlsy97y76, and most of all my friendships/kinships here on #nostr. ohh merry christmas! Enjoy 😊

Time to relax ☺️

This year has been epic. From NZ to New York (for a NYSE listing that was pulled at the last minute by the SEC) and back, to Malaysia, Qatar and Spain. Then a transatlantic cruise from England to France, Ponta Delgada, BVIs, St Marteen, Antigua & Barbuda to end in Martinique and close out the year in Dominican Republic. This is going to be a hard travel year to beat. 😁

It's actually a hard year to beat all around. My kids are doing great. They are happy. We are happy. We are enjoying life with our friends.

Tomorrow Exodus finally lists on the NYSE American. Bitcoin was $108k today. Work is wonderful. Life is wonderful.

I feel very grateful and blessed to live this epic life 🍾

I would vote for not seeing non quote reposts on Damus (or even a filter option I can check to not see reposts?)

In saying that, sometimes it's nice to see a repost if it is something I might have missed while sleeping πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

One more day of work until I get a week off... Christmas πŸŽ„ is coming and I have choose our next destination & start getting organised. January is coming so fast. 😬

Hi nostr:npub1cly0v30agkcfq40mdsndzjrn0tt76ykaan0q6ny80wy034qedpjsqwamhz. I was lucky enough to "get stranded" on Koh Tao. there were a few hectic months, and a LOT of solo yoga but also the Thai people were AMAZING hosts to all of us and then when (by June, there was ZERO COVID in Thailand and) they opened up domestic travel, I went everywhere and saw all the things. Alone. (Photo: me, at the White Buddha in Pai, mid-2020.)

Oh yeah! Love this so much. Vietnam was the same. We had 2 weeks of "restrictions" but we were still able to ride bikes in the rice fields and go to the beach and markets πŸ˜… And then we were free to do whatever. Similarly, we were free for most of 2020 and 2021. πŸ’―πŸ™Œ
